Brady had all day to find his recievers. The Jets need to find a pass rush or its going to be a long year for them.

Lets hope Da Bears defence does some damage today and soften up the Chargers for next week.

Absolutely killed me that Maroney didn't play tonight (and I think you meant Sammy Morris).

Wait till after they play Indy and Dallas before you get too cawcky.

Besides, they only scored 34 this time (Instead of 38), and Brady had one pick! image

I agree we need to get through Indy and Dallas before we crown ourselves the "Best" but to be quite honest, I dont see Indy beating us let alone the Cowboys. This Brady-Moss connection is the best in the game right now.

As far as Sammy Morris filling in, I got to ask... Who is this guy? Answer... Just another football player on our team that has a great attitude and benefits from our super system.

Moss is proving what he can do as a player. The offense is clicking, defense is stepping up. Hopefully they can continue like this.

Well after shaking off that Pesky Cleveland team, we will be looking for a strong performance from Brady and company in Dallas. I think Dallas stock went down a little after almost losing to that Bills team but we still need to be on our game!

The thing that I love about that Browns victory is Brady once again showed he does not rely on any one player to get the job done, Moss was not a huge factor so Watson and Stallworth step right up and come through.. Maroney should be fresh for the 'Boys but if not Morris will be just fine!

2nd string 2nd half? Or should Brady try for 10 TD passes?

    Memo to the '72 Dolphins:

If this year's Patriots don't run the table, your record may be safe for all time.

It's a long season yet, but this one looks like one we'll be talking about for years to come. How about this offensive juggernaut though, not really having much of a running game? I really thought Maroney would be a star (I hope so, I have too many of his RC's) but what the heck is wrong with him?

Who cares about the running game? Morris will be back and all we need to do is throw the ball- nobody can seem to stop our attack.

True - believe me, I'm hardly complaining. The passing game is tremendous, and I don't think a defense currently in the NFL can effectively shut Brady down. I was just thinking long term, that if there ever is a tough day in the air for Brady, we better get the running game in order.

Another "warmup" game today to get ready for Indy next week.

How many TD's will Brady throw for today? 5? or maybe 6 again?
  • Options
17-0 at the half. Brady has ONLY one Td thus far...there are 30 seconds left...who knows what will transpire...

    shutout today?

Moss sure does get away with a lot of pushoffs in the end zone.

Ok Rushing TD's count as well so Brady needs only 1 or 2 more TD's to get to the now regular 5 or 6.

Belichick must be cheating again. No team is this good, but I'm glad at least this time they're beating up on a non-Eagles NFC East team.

I suspect somehow Belichick is stealing the other teams playbook, possibly through the internet somehow hijacking the other coach's computers, or possibly Brady and Moss know where the opposing head coaches live, and break into their homes late each Saturday night and covertly make copies of the playbook with their microfilm camera. Just gots to be something like that because no team is this good.

I guess the Pats covered the spread.

P.S. Any guesses at next week's spread against the Colts?

    GoSteelers,

Really?! I see Vegas putting the Pats at least a TD favorite. But I guess we'll see.

From Doug Kretz, Scouts Inc., as posted on ESPN.Com

    ESPN Recap Re: 52-7 Victory

<< <i>Although the Patriots put 52 points on one of the best cover teams in the league, it was the performance of New England’s defense that really stood out. >>

Really? Who here watched the game or saw the final score and their first (or any thought) thought was:

"Wow! That Pats D is something else. They only gave up 7 points to the 'Skins." Uh huh. Even if they won, 100-0, my first thought would be, "Wow! ONE HUNDRED points against a NFL D."

    Bring on the Colts!!!

Question: When Vrabel is in on offense, why is he EVER open? How many times do defenses have to get fooled by this until they start covering him?
  • Options
    ctsoxfanctsoxfan Posts: 6,246 ✭✭
I was thinking the same thing about Vrabel - though on the second goal line play where Vrabel went in, Gibbs must have been thinking the same thing. A Redskins defender just wiped him right out of the play, as Brady was clearly looking his way.

GREAT GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not much else to say! This game lived up to the hype for sure! If we play this game 10 times I think the Pats would win 6 of them, Brady is MONEY.

yeah, but would you still win 6 out of 10 without your best WR Moss and then have to play the end of the game with your #4 guy?
