JAX on the plate tonight!!!!!!!!! The weather has cleared up nicely from all the rain we got yesterday so this is a good start to the day, the last thing I wanted was to match up with the Jax running game in a sloppy field tonight!
I expect a very tough game but am confident we will take care of bussiness!!!!!!!
LETS GO PATRIOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know I figured we'd most likely face Indy again next week but other than them being defending champs and home field, the Indy v. San Diego match-up is basically even and can go either way. But I guess it really doesn't matter; the Patriots will pwn either one, right perkdog?
I'm sure glad my wife's local teams are doing so well. I just home mine can turn things around.
Watching the Pats operate offensively kind of reminds me of watching Ivan Drago in his first fight...you get that feeling of how on earth can they even be stopped.
Thanks Joe! I appreaciate the kind words, I was rooting for Seattle btw..
Estil- I am going to stick with the same philosiphy about playing Indy/SD. I expect a tough game from either team, ofcourse Indy scares me more and if we are playing them it will be a titanic matchup and we will have to be on top of our game.
Just another example of Brady and his pin point passing as well 26-28!
On the defensive side of the Ball Rodney Harrison came through with the late pick but his questionable late hits are getting a little annoying, he needs to realize that at some point it is going to bite us in the butt hard...
26 for 28, there are no words except it should have been 27 for 28 if Welker didn't drop a perfect pass to his mid section. There was only one passing play all night that the Jags had covered well.
Check that, two passing plays they had covered including the initial sack.

You are correct sir! It most definately was 27-28! I forgot about that drop by Welker.......... He will get a free pass on that one though. He is just MONEY!

He is one of the most sneaky fast receivers I've ever seen.
I refuse to make any outlandish statements about the game against the Bolts. Look at it this way, I honestly would have been a little nervous if we ended up playing Indy but guess what? The better team came out of that game! San Diego has a good Defense and a great running game- much better than the Jags and Vincent Jackson is coming into his own as a legitimate top WR right now. Ofcourse the Patriots are a better team- ON PAPER! But we are capable of losing like any team is! I expect nothing short of a very tough game...
At a glance, I'd say SD doesn't have a chance. Especially with LT and Rivers gimpy. However, the Ravens played NE tough and they weren't a very good team. I'd say if Merrimen and Cromartie have good games, it could be close. It may actually be a tougher game compared to Indy. Peyton continues to choke in big games. I thought the monkey was off his shoulder after last season but someone pointed out that he had 3 TDs and 7 INTs during the playoff run last year. So they won the SB in spite of his play.
NFC: Packers by 17 (sorry Giants, NO chance on that frozen tundra) AFC: Patriots by 7 (Chargers are red hot and will give the Pats a run for their money, and like a lot of teams, are more than capable of almost beating New England. The key word being almost...)
My wife, in an attempt to help herself feel better after her Colts lost on Sunday, threw a weak attack at the Pats, saying that they hadn't played anybody good this year. Of course I was able to easily call her out, but it got me thinking.
Of the 11 other playoff teams, New England beat 6 of them in the regular season; margin of victory in (); SD(24), Dallas(21), Washington(45), Indy(4), Pit(21), and the Giants(3). Indy and the Giants were the only teams to get within 21 points (which is pretty incredible in and of itself). Add an 11 point win against Jacksonville last weekend, and the Pats have beaten 7 of 11 playoff teams this year by an average score of 18 points. If they face & beat the Packers in the Superbowl, that will give them wins against 8 of 11 playoff teams for the year.
I definitely don't have the time or desire to look it up, but does anyone recall a season in which a team was so dominant against the best teams in the league?
You know, when the Ravens started the game with all those penalties, I knew exactly what they were trying. They knew darn good and well they were taking way more risks than a team normally would (and thus more likely to get flags), but they also knew this over-aggressive strategery was their only chance against the Patriots and it almost worked. So give the Ravens some credit.
Isn't it interesting how easy it is sometimes to almost beat the Patriots? I have no doubt the Chargers will put up a good fight and almost beat the Patriots. Now as for actually beating them, well, that's an entirely different thing.
<< <i> I definitely don't have the time or desire to look it up, but does anyone recall a season in which a team was so dominant against the best teams in the league? >>
Yes, the 1996 Kentucky Wildcats. The Untouchables as they were called, and they did more than their fair share of "running up the score" too. And yes, there were questions about their strength of schedule back then but it seemed like they played a ranked team every other game (especially in the SEC). Now that was one hell of a basketball team.

Hats off to Garard, he is one slipperey QB!
very impressive win, looks like the Pats saved the good stuff for the playoffs.
Only wish the hawks could have had some of that magic left in em
Im rootin for a perfect season, everyone loves a dynasty, except the hapless NFC team who faces them in the dance.
I'm sure glad my wife's local teams are doing so well. I just home mine can turn things around.
