not really a football fan, but I watched todays game. Very exciting to say the least. all of new england was fired up over this. a lot of my friends and co-workers had mini-superbowl parties for this game. truth is, it will probably be better than the actual superbowl lol.
Nice comeback after not playing too great the first 50 minutes. Things bode well when they can beat Indy after and all-time team high in penalties (150 yards), sub-par run defense, 2 Brady picks, and un-Brady-like accuracy.
It sure helps that Moss can catch one-handed! Also, the defense really stepped up in the final quarter.
I know there are "trap" games, but the remaining schedule looks good. Toughest should be Pittsburgh at home, and the Giants the last game. Belichek and the players will say it doesnt matter if they lose 1 or 2, what matters is the super bowl. But I think even though they dont say it, they would LOVE to run the table as a way of showing the middle finger.
They would most definately like to run the table but if it means grinding out 4 quarters in the last game of the year in a tight game when the first round bye and homefield advantage is sown up, I dont think that it will be given priority at that point....
I love Belicheks response to this question. Bill were you running it up when you went for it twice on 4th down?
His answer " kicking a field goal at that point is running it up. That puts points on the board. I gave their defense a chance to stop us. " Something along those lines anyway. Brady said something like " We are not put on the field to punt, we go out there to score" I love it!

Honestly IMO this is the greatest pair of statements I have ever heard from a coach and QB.
Guys, we got something special in our Patriots here, there is NO football fan in the world that would not want their home team doing what we are doing.
I was watching that game with my wife (who's from Boston) and I thought that was cute how they compared the Pats to the Globetrotters and the rest of the league as the Washington Generals. If Tom Brady starts spinning the football on his finger or Randy Moss whistles Sweet Georgia Brown though, I'm outta here...
Also, I noticed the Bills fans booing when they went for it on 4th down; well, it sure seemed to work both times.
Anyhoo, think the Pats will already clinch the division next week?
Heard Brady on the radio yesterday. Responding the the "running it up" question, he said something like "the offenses job is to score, so when teams come to foxboro in January i want them thinking theres no friggin way we can beat the pats"

I heard most of that interview as well. He also said (parapharasing from what I recall) that the starting offense needs to play for at least 3 quarters because they need to continue to improve. He also pointed out that he still has to work out the "kinks" with his "new" receiving corps -- they have only played together for 10 games, you know. Finally he says that they have won 21 straight games before, so 10 games is "not even halfway" to what they have accomplished before.
I pity the Jets after 3 more weeks of "improvement"
I truly believe we will hang 60+ plus on the Jets. Typical "Bombs away" late in the fourth quarter, let everyone complain about it but they will refuse to comment on how these teams that get steamrolled by us just give up and allow themselves to get humiliated. Teams dont like it? Well try to do something about it.
I think I missed the boat on betting on them, I layed 16 last week for a very nice profit. I just wished I went with them every week before the spreads got out of hand. Tell ya what, if I lived in Vegas I would have no problem throwin 200 on Philly with those odds. Sad thing is the Pats will prolly cover but unless you got unlimited bank you cant play those odds...
NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS 2007 AFC EAST DIVISION CHAMPIONS
Congratulations to perkdog and my wife (who's from Boston); the Pats have now wrapped up the division with the Bills loss to the Jags. I guess now they'll go for the top seed?

Well Pat6s fans, first off great win last night! I think this game was a wake up call, it was for me anyways! I think it was good to see us play well while our backs were up against the wall for a change. I think our O-line got man handled a little which could have been devastating, it just goes to show that the Patriots need to have major pressure put on them, we need to make sure this doesnt happen again!
Well, I didn't get to see the ending (I had to work an overnight shift), but boy the Patriots sure survived a scare, didn't they? I guess the NFC is a much stronger conference if a .500 ball club can make the Pats go the distance. But I'm guessing y'all would rather it happen now in the regular season than in the post season, no?
I dont care when it happens as long as the end result is the same
I dont think the Eagles play the other night represents the class of the NFC, we handled Dallas easy enough, just a tough game for us thats all. The winner of the Green Bay,Dallas game will represent the class of the NFC.
Draft Sharks is reporting 40mph winds for tonights game, this will definately be a factor. I hope Maroney and company can bust through that once vaunted Ravens D!
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts
Ok this is horrible. Don't know what else to say. My wife doesn't even understand football and she can see both feet aren't in. Not going to be apart of the JS welching thread that's a whole different deal. This is bad.

Gee, you think perhaps the Ravens committed the penalties? If the Pats should thank anyone it should be Billick for his bonehead timeout call.
I don't know how the Patriots do it. How can they win every game?!?!?! That was insane. Congrats Pats fans, your team is NO DOUBT going 19-0...
