Went to three of the seven, yes I said seven (welcome to MN. original home of the target), targets that are within 30 minutes of my house today to check for A&G. First two I came up empty. Third didn't have any blasters but did have 23 loose retail packs. Since I'm most concerned with the minis at this point I decided to take the chance that the box may have been searched. After pulling several sketch cards I finally stumbled upon a Stephen Drew jersey. A box of retail that wasn't searched at target. What are the odds? Also busted my case of blasters that I got from ebay, tonight. New updated trade list to follow. Let the deals flow!

Got a snake today, Cottonmouth, and I hate it. I know they only come 1 to case supposedly, but God it's ugly. Every time I look at it, I have to figure out where the head is - maybe the ablility to hide its head makes it so deadly. Anyway, I don't want it, makes no sense to keep something that you dislike as much I do this card, and was really disappointed in the card. Anyone willing to trade for some Black No Numbers contact me.

I was just reading over last years A&G thread, which i believe only had a fifth of the amount of posts that this years did. There were
some really nice pulls and a lot of great trades and traders....some of which are still here, sadly enough many did not come back
for a second year. I believe that Kurt made his first post on that thread! He is a CU vet now.

This has been a whole lot of fun. I also post on the beckett boards and there is nothing fun about those boards.It is great to be able
to "meet " so many fellow collectors and help each other out. Soon my boys will be collecting and then the fun really starts!

Its looks like the spring belongs to heritage and the summer to A&G, the fall and winter to maybe catch up on those sets. I want
to thank everyone for making this a great place!

I never really have gotten into A&G, but have been reading this thread pretty regularly. I really like the cards, but it just looks like such a huge undertaking, and since I started collecting in earnest again, I'm trying to stick to one or two things. I read something about the difference between "collecting" something and "amassing" something - that's so true in our hobby. For me, I would really like to see my collection go in a certain direction, then possibly expand as I am able. There have been times when I am just swamped with cards I don't really want, and I have no idea how I got them all. Busting those random packs here and there really gives you an assortment of stuff that is tought ot know what to do with.

So for now, I'm mainly just buying Heritage singles off the bay, with the Topps 52 autos as a side project. That being said, I probably own more cards that I "don't collect" than cards that I do. I still haven't figured out how that happened.

I just got all misty there for a second (well, that or my whiskey-soaked eyes are still stinging from my poker session that I just returned from), Kevin. "Memories, like the corners of my mind".

Seriously, this group of traders, both Heritage and A&G, are really superb. No way on earth I would have been able to complete both sets and not spend $1.5 K doing it (wait, I did that). The trades have been great and the people have been better. Where else can a Dodger fan and a Giant fan trade in peace (Geordie, I'm talking directly to you!).

Kurt....I got desperate a few years ago on a black backgroud heritage card I needed, it was the last card I needed and I shamlessly took a
regular one and painted the background black and convinced myself that the set was done. Maybe you need to do the same!

Just a quick thank you to parkerj, five7teen, kmnorton, nam812, mealeworm, Goot, HeritageAddict, and gstarling for all of the wonderful trades we've done. I'm getting so close to having a binder full of A&G goodness that I can almost taste it. Mmm, cardboard.

Also, I'd like to specifically mention the positive trade experience I had with bullrat. Don't let his low post count and new user status fool you, he ships timely and packages cards securely. In fact, up until I opened the mailer from him, I had no idea they made penny sleeves and toploaders for minis.

I haven't posted much here but I've been following this thread for a while. On avisit to my Target I saw some A&G blasters so I grabbed one and a few extra packs. I think I did pretty good but the set is rather confusing for me to follow so I'd love some feedback.

I would have to agree that target blasters are loaded. In one box i recieved

2 relics, mini no number Billy Butler, and a mini Black mamba snake.

I had pretty good luck with the other 3 blaster boxes as well.

I blame all of you for me spending my card money on this modern crap... I have to buy some 50's vintage to get my mojo back. I can't believe I got sucked into this crap and I have put 100+ miles on my SUV driving around to Targets and Wal-marts. Insane! Oh did I mention I picked up a 2006 set as well

I understand your plight with the snakes...I've only opened 133 packs...2 autos (1 SP), 3 relics, 2 NNO, 2 Black SPs, but only 3 emperors and ZERO snakes and ZERO Bazooka backs...very disappointing. I've had unusually high levels of A&G minis though.

Opened my last Wal-mart blaster today.

Nothing too special. Couple of A&G back minis. A Ray Durham black border mini. Colombia flag. Barry Bonds regular size SP. Mickey Mantle regular size (my first...I haven't gotten one of those in a total of 1 hobby box, 2 retail boxes, and 2 blasters...until now, on the 3rd blaster...are they hard to come by?).

I'm not buying blasters again unless they're from target.

I see that the last Wang on ebay brought $110, plates bring about $40, and the Pujols sells for $70.

I have a ton of singles SPs etc 96 packs worth, what do you guys need? PM me, and be patient, as they are not sorted yet. I would like some $$ via Paypal as opposed to trading, but would be willing to trade for cards I can move for $$.

Hows this for how hard it is to pull a snake. I've opened 6 hobby boxes, 24 blasters (none from target) and 55 loose retail packs and have yet to pull a single snake. Almost 400 packs and no snakes!

I've never pulled a black refractor from Heritage, after probably around 4 cases or so.

I opened ONE pack of A&G last year, and pulled an Ernie Banks Bazooka /25.

I won a hobby box of 07 Topps Heritage (it's the only modern non-blaster I've opened) and pulled a Brett Myers black refractor.

I happened to stop by the Target in Anaheim Hills, CA and saw a Blaster Box of 2007 Allen and Ginter. I'm opening it tonight. I'll post results. Wish me luck.
