I went to pick up some things at Target at lunch and checked to see if they had any blasters. All they had were loose packs and against my better judgement, I picked up 15 loose packs. I couldn't care less about missing out on a Chavez or Rolen relic, but in 10 or so of the 15 packs, each card has a nice fingernail mark across the top. In some case, there are 2 or 3 marks. Weigh away, you subhumans, at least you are keeping the contents intact. You that fingernail the product, I.......

Now THAT sucks my friend. Up to this date I have found NO loose packs. I guess its a good thing, because this stuff looks easy to search. Would it be so bad that Dick Perez cards were in every pack? I mean how much is topps really saving by inserting them? It only hurts you and I who are loyal to topps. I have always thought that the solution to pack searching scum begins with the card companies!
Kurt, my wife picked me up a few packs a couple of weeks ago and the first one I opened had a dick perez with deep impressions, a few packs later another dick perez with same indentions. I looked at the wrapper and you could actually see where they had rubbed something on there (judging by the indention size I'm guessing a car key), but the funny thing was they still managed to miss the relic, granted it was just another Rolen jersey but atleast they didn't get it.
Someone posted a question about an official A&G binder for set builders, while I know of none, I did create my own with a 4 inch white binder with clear front, back, and spine pockets. I'll post pictures later, but it will be with my camera phone sadly. I'm posting the images of the cover and spine inserts. They are not fancy, I created them in Microsoft Paint, but I like them alright. If you'd like to use them, PM me and I'll email them to you.
Just opened a strange hobby box of A&G. I only pulled 7 base set SP's, there were 4 A-Rods 500's including one duplicate, only one flag instead of the usual 2, 6 A&G backs and a A&G back SP, 10 regular mini's and 3 regular mini SP's, and 3 black borders. Why couldn't they have inserted 3 extra relics or autos instead of 3 extra A-rods? What were my relics by the way? LaRoche and Gagne jerseys. Oh well, 3 more boxes still to be opened.
If anyone needs Australia or Jamaica, let me know...I probably need just about every flag you have to spare.
The best news about the blasters...I added about 100 cards to my base set. Should be within 50 cards of completing it. Not bad for 10 days and not having bought a case.
Back to normal on box 2. 12 base set SP's, 12 regular mini's, 2 regular mini SP's, 5 A&G backs, 3 black borders, 1 flag, Kazmir Bazooka back 2/25, and 1 A-Rod. I'll let you know how the other 2 boxes go later tonight. Also look for an updated trade list soon.

That's odd that anyone would scrape the edges of the packs unless they're stupid, or a kid maybe. It's easy to tell the insert packs just by looking at them.
I went into my local Target a couple of day ago just in time to find a middle aged man picking up every pack to check thickness. EVERY PACK. I watched him for a minute to make sure he checked all the A&G packs before I went over and grabbed 12. I was so amazed at his lack of respect for every other collector when I brushed past him I gave him a very kind "Jack_ss" Just as I was hoping, every pack had an SP! I'm done looking for Relics. My 7 relics weren't very inspiring. I did get one emperor and 10 black borders as well as one bazooka back and one no number regular back, but for $400 a couple more autos would have been nice. Oh well, that's the way it works sometimes.
My first day of A&G rips started out with 7 boxes with no ink! It too me box 8 to finally hit ink. You have to figure at best there are 3 autos per 12 box hobby case. 4 if you are lucky.
We are all insane. The hysteria over everyone's Target running out of blasters had me going to three Targets and two Walmarts, picked up 13 blasters. No ink again from these things. 4 relics I already have but a pujols bat I did not. Okajima bazooka. Chris Carpenter white mini no#. Did well with mini sp's, a&g back was decent too. My bad case bust from last week still has a bad taste left in my mouth. I want to buy another one just to try and make myself feel better but I'm not dropping a grand again and risking getting all that crap again. OR WILL I?
closest target to me is about 40 miles away. I check K-mart occasionally but haven't seen any there yet. Only 2 other places around here to get blasters and they are my little secret. Except 1 of them told me the other day that their computer showed no more A & G in their system.
A few of my fraternity brothers and I lived together throughout college, and, after I graduated, the guys I lived with my senior year stayed in the apartment. The next fall, the apartment management placed a 19 year old guy in my old room. Fortunately for my Bros, the guy is pretty down to earth, a good roommate. Anyway, he works at Wal-Mart and gets a 15 percent discount on everything. I called him yesterday and asked him to look for a A&G blaster or retail case for me, so hopefully I'll have a few more packs coming my way at a great cost.

My 7 relics weren't very inspiring. I did get one emperor and 10 black borders as well as one bazooka back and one no number regular back, but for $400 a couple more autos would have been nice. Oh well, that's the way it works sometimes.
Also, sorry to be so unknowledgable, but where do you find the list of cards that were short printed?
