It's most likely the Washington State Quarter cover.

    A GW quarter.
  • HAHA I am so dumb. thanks
  • I think Coinboy's comments are just fine for here. This is a forum for feedback. There are A LOT of people that are upset about PCGS's stance on this. I am one of them. Personally, they might not agree, but I am sure they are glad to know how we feel. That is one of the main purposes of this forum is to keep a finger on the pulse of their industry.

I think it is absolutely silly that they are requiring so many coins(100 covers) and charging an additional designation fee. Are you kidding me? The 100 cover stipluation rules out many collectors and caters towards dealers only. Also, charging a fee for a desgination when the US Mint has already designated these coins as First Day of Production is silly. Hey I am going to charge you money to identify your "Blue" truck. Basically, PCGS should know that they are taking themselves out of the grading market for a lot of collectors on this and future issues of these covers.

If they change later to meet the market's needs people won't have complete sets. I am a member of both NGC and PCGS and perfer PCGS. I am a won over customer and yet they are doing things to alienate me. I am sure the sharp people at PCGS want to know this. I mean if I want PCGS and they refuse and I go to NGC, they lose and its their own fault. This is the start of a new and hopefully strong selling Presidential series. I am going to collect them and I want them all to be in one company's plastic. If I go to NGC, I will stay there for this colleciton..period.

So please don't say he is off topic, because he isn't. This IS a collector issue and one PCGS should be made aware of. This could be the next big series like the quarters were and PCGS is missing the boat with some pretty silly standards. I am still waiting for my 10 covers I ordered. I can't afford to order 100s of these and play the resale game. When they get here, I will evaluate who offers what and send em in. PCGS's loss of a dedicated PCGS customer is going to be NGC's gain. That is just bad business practice.

PCGS FDIs are always available on the secondary market.

That or people get get together to put together submissions of 100, like at a coin club or something. The slabbed coins can then be randomly given to those who contributed.

    Ditto.

That's "Ditto" to you, Swest. Well said.
  • Bulk submissions are all inclusive in the grading fee. No additional special insert fee is charged.

I am not a bulker so thanks for the heads up. Also, while the fee isn't charged, you still need to pay $2400 to grade a minimum of 100 coins. That seems a little silly and so far I haven't heard HOW PCGS would make inserts different than other FDI inserts. Have you?

I asked Ron Guth that in the Q/A forum and he replied they are considering a First Day of Minatge insert as an alternitive to the First Day of Issue for the presidential coin covers.-

    << <i><< Hi,

The mint is issuing presidential coin covers with a P & D mint presidential dollar indiacting the coins contained in the sealed coves are minted on the first day of production.-

    http://catalog.usmint.gov/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=10001&productId=13972&langId=-1&parent_category_rn=16238

It seems to me since the coin covers will not be available to send in on the FDI deadline for the presidential dollars, PCGS should certify the presidential coin cover coins as being from the first day of mintage as the government packaging indicates they are. Much like what PCGS does with coins sent in from the 2000 'Millenium Set'. Is there any possibility of this happening? >>

The coins from these covers qualify for the First Day of Issue designation and we're considering a First Day of Mintage designation as an alternative. >>

One issue PCGS may be facing is that the FDI minimum requirement may have been geared to attract large submitters. Now if these large submitters feel they had the rug pulled out from under them, they may go somewhere else. If PCGS is having discussions about FDM, I bet it is with their top FDI bulk submitters.

This shows that those $21 - $26 BIN listing are too low
  • Great way to market:

Breaking ebay rules by far exceeding the allowed number of listings for an item is also a good marketing strategy. ;>

Looks like the Buy it now prices on Ebay are starting to move up.

Currently, the lowest BIN price is $25.95 and he only has 26 left in this auction.

Looks like most new BIN listings are in the 30s.

This will get very interesting when news of the sellout hits NN and Coin World.

When will those papers come out? I don't think there will be anything left in the 20's by tomorrow.

    FDCC's sold 4/18 ... price range from $22.50 - $46.00....Eliminate the high & low...range would then be from $26 - $37.90 ... definately an upward price trend.

  • << <i>I will do the same thing. I am waiting to see what effect cw & nn will have on them. >>

I think the biggest influence will be how the grades come back from NGC or PCGS. If you start seeing some 68's+, these
    will skyrocket.
  • pitbosspitboss Posts: 8,643 ✭✭✭
I opened one box of 25 and one of the sealed envelopes inside. If the rest of those coins are like these then the prices are going to increase drastically because they are a much higher quality than any I have seen from the rolls.

My case of 50 arrived today--Mint says they shipped today.
Money still not taken out of my account yet only on hold.

I have a box of 10 and 18 coming snail mail. parcel post. Any one know how long that will take?
From now on only orders of $300 or more for me in order to get expedited shipping.

Funny the box of 50 is smaller than the box of 30 I got Tuesday.

Maybe it has one of the prepacked 50's in it.

I am not sure if I want to open it--hate to see 50 loose ones in there.

    Rookie Joe

Here's the thing, whether or not your interested in a numbered box, I know some are not, before opening look closely at the box size, if it's smaller look at the sides, underneath the brown packing tape is the label. If you only ordered covers, then I have learned from "actual" people some are coming loose, and some are coming in smaller numbered boxes, wherein they (If ordered just themselves) did in fact open them insert the packing slip then retaped the box. Thus remove the tape and there's the label
  • CasmanCasman Posts: 3,935 ✭✭
    The box size with labels is 10 x 10 3/4 X 5 1/2, loose commonly 12 1/2x10 1/4 x 8 1/2 high. image
