Does anyone know why Topps designated the Mark Prior New Age Performer as "GM" instead of "MP"? Does anyone have one with the MP designation. I noticed that several eBay sellers use the MP designation while others use the GM. Could there be two versions of the card?

Not bad for 3 packs !!

BTW...Ive found blaster boxes to be a bit disappointing.

The ones Ive opened have had.

I have wondered the same thing. I am guessing that they had originally scheduled that one to be Greg Maddux and maybe that didn't pan out. ???????? I dunno??

quite a few packs ripped at top where the seam folds over-doesn't seem to affect what's in the pack although many bottom cards have dinged bottom left corner. So far these boxes have been more down to earth than 1st case....#14 pack has done nothing spectacular-Cabrera was in 9th pack down on left.

Does anyone besides me hate these sticker autos??? I got excited to open up a pack to see on the back of a card that says "CONGRATULATIONS" to find out that it was a Jim Leyritz sticker auto - how disappointing is that??????

ugh - I pulled one of those too, Craig. Sticker autos, especially of Leyritz, inserted into Heritage packs, are an insult to Heritage collectors. Hopefully Topps falls out of love with those things next year.

Instead of sticker autos I would much rather see original 1957 Topps cards inserted into the Heritage packs. Even if they are commons, I would much rather have a common 1957 than a sticker auto of Leyritz! (Especially since I am 71 cards away from the 57 Topps set!!

For those of you who are putting your set in a binder, what kind of a binder are you using? I really like the looks of the Roop ones, but they are a little pricey. I'd like to display everything a little better-the box on my desk isn't really doing it for me.

I put mine in a Roop just because I had an extra. The office supply stores like Staples have some nice 3 " binders which I don't mind using at all.

I went online to buy a Roop binder on their website. After typing in all of information, the binder with sheets plus shipping and tax WAS OVER $80!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Staples here I come!!

GUM VARIATION IN RETAIL -

RETAIL WAX BOXES - SOFTER GUM, DARKER IN COLOR (red/pink)

RETAIL BLASTER BOXES - LESS SOFT, LIGHTER IN COLOR (very light pink)

There is also a 1/8" difference in the width between the two.'

I got 2 blasters today from Target. Pujols GU and the gum smells like bananas. B-A-N-A-N-A-S. I'm slow and I apologize - everything is sent. Dave, got the Snyder auto yesterday - you can almost feel the resentment seeping off the card. Thanks!

I have a dilema. This is only my second Heritage set. I am thinking about putting together a chrome or refractor set. Which one should I go with? They both seem to get to a reasonable price once the frenzy stops. I will give myself a year to finish the set. Any ideas would be helpful.

Jim, in my opinion the refractors are much better looking cards than their chrome counterparts. That's not to say that the chromes aren't nice looking. This will be the third chrome set I've put together by hand (04,05,06 - I have the 03 set, but bought it outright), but the first year I've decided to do the refractor set. So far I'm glad I did.

Post results on beckett boards, and complain that the auto you got is some guy you never heard of. At least it's numbered.

It seems to work every time. At least for them.

Went to target and behold there was 3 blaster boxes...i picked them up....put them all in my little cart...looked at them....took them right back and put them on the shelf and left.....IM DONE WITH HERITAGE THIS YEAR IVE SPENT TOO MUCH ON IT ALREADY!!!!

Then when i got home JStalin's last SP i needed arrived...it was the blue letterrs 212 and im ive OFFICIALLY got a master set now......

F$%8 Yeah........just pulled the Gordon in my 7th pack of my 4th box.

For just reference for everyone it was the 7th pack right side of the box. Interesting thing is that it was the 9th card of the pack, when I opened up the pack it kind of just slid out into my hand and I just assumed it was the gum. I will try and get some scans up later tonight.

Great pull GMfan ! You should now have the SS, pretty sure some of your SP's aren't judging by count. Packs with a checklist in them don't usually have a SP.
