Hey Guys, I need some help. I haven't bought a newer pack of cards in many years (I only deal with vintage stuff) but I was in my local card shop today buying some supplies and decided to pick up 5 packs of Heritage just for the fun of it. What I was wondering is if any of these cards are worth anything, and if anyone would be interested in them. Here is the list:
#3 - Darlye Ward #8 - C.C. Sabathia #22 - Vernon Wells #23 - Derek Jeter #24 - Todd Helton #31 - Brandon Webb #33 - J.T. Snow #71 - Vinny Castilla #77 - Charlton Jimerson #114 - Atlanta Braves #181 - Luis Gonzalez #195 - Ryan Church #205 - Jeff Francoeur #208 - Edgardo Alfonzo #220 - Damian Jackson #224 - Hank Blalock #235 - Mike Matheny #244 - Shawn Chacon #250 - Ichiro #252 - Brad Radke #259 - Julio Lugo #263 - Esteban Loaiza #269 - Neifi Perez #304 - Joe Mauer #308 - Pat Borders #329 - Chicago White Sox #401 - Mike Cameron #417 - Livan Hernandez #445 - Chris Ray #448 - Dallas McPherson #452 - Ervin Santana #461 - Justin Verlander #464 - Lance Niekro #474 - Zach Duke #475 - Huston Street #480 - Mike Hampton #482 - Antonio Alfonseco #485 - Joe Saunders
Then and Now TN5 - Ted Williams and Alex Rodriguez
FB-BRI - Bobby Richardson

Hey Heritage fans -- I saw this item on EBay and thought it was a good deal. I already have one but I know a lot fo you do not so check it out! By the way, I am not selling this item nor do I know the person that is - I just wanted everyone to know about it.
Man, I hit my local target and wal mart today. Target had 4 retail 14 count boxes (all searched) and walmart had 5 plus 4 blaster...150 bucks later I pulled a bunch of crap. ARGGGGGG It looks like all the ink is gone now!
Last week I hit Target and bought about 17-8 pack retail boxes. Most Targets had 5 boxes. They had just come in and the retail signle pack boxes were already searched so I stuck with the Blaster Boxes. On the very first box second pack, I open I get a Ernie Banks blue ink real one autograph. That was my big hit and overall I felt lucky to have that. the rest was standard although I did pull a Johnny Podres Topps Team auto. So there may still be a little something out there left.
I have opened 4 of the 8 pack blaster boxes and the highlights have been a Paul LaPalme blue ink (my first Real One Auto pulled) and a Derek Lee Clubhouse Collection. I think one box may have had 5 SPs but that was about it.
That gives us retail hounds, who have come up to only searched packs, some hope. Topps finally did some good and put the authentication sticker in the middle of the card, so searching scum can't get to it. I still don't like the idea of having my packs prodded before I get them...these cards damage easy as you all know.
Thats interesting on the Zito....are there any other cards which arn't short prints, that have all one color lettering? I went through a stack and saw none, maybe someone with a set in sheets can answer this definitaly.
Hey Guys, I don't know much at all about Heritage cards but I bought 10-12 packs for the fun of it and pulled these two cards. Can anyone tell me if they are worth anything and if anyone would be interested in them. Thanks

The Clubhouse Collection Lee card will be wanted by someone who is trying to complete that tough subset. Nice pull .... the Todd Helton chrome by the looks is numbered in four digits I suspect ???? If it is I could certianly use that card . PM me! It is tough to tell from the scan but it could be numbered to 557 in which case I can't use it . But someone here would probably like to add the card to that even tougher subset.
I’m still hammering out my set. I still need SPs 127 & 282 and NAP Pujols
I have these SPs to trade: 2, 91, 269, 279, 293, 294, 299, 300, 303, 308, 311
I have these NAPs to trade: C. Lee & Ortiz
I also have these Chromes to trade: 2, 20, 37, 52
PM or email me with trades.

Well, we all ripped a thousand packs, chewed countless pieces of gum, thumbed through every card in the set, and traded like it's the New York Stock Exchange. . .
So two questions.
1. What's the Most Worthless Autograph in the set?
2. What's the ugliest card in the set?
My nominees are....
1. Jim Leyritz autograph? Was he even born in 1957? He has no business in the set and even EBay bidders are staying away from it.
2. Card No. 300, Mike Sweeney. It is so out of focus the photog must have had a few rum-and-cokes before taking the picture.
ALSO,
1. What's the funniest card (My pick is Lofton)
2. What's the best looking card in the set (Can't decide).
Guys I am looking for 2 black chromes - Jeter and Matsui - and my Yankee Black chrome set for 2006 is complete. Anybody have one of those? If so send me a message if it is for sale or trade. I have a ton of Heritage stuff from 2001 thru 2006 - see my ebay store or ask as I have a lot to list still. All of it can be traded. I am also looking for Topps Heritage Yankee chromes - especially 2004, 2006 black border chromes, autos, and relics from 2001- 2006. Thanks, Jay
UPDATE - scratch the 2006 black Jeter - just stumbled upon this and grabbed it!
Swisher is still my favorite. Jeter and Rolen are classically simple. I love all the A's cards shot in the desert, also the Tigers which are shot somewhere other than the ball park too. The washed out/close up shots of the Dogers and Mets are my least favorite. The Josh Beckett card is really ugly.
Anyone notice that the Houston Street variation card has more different than just the color lettering?
If you think you have a good eye, then I will ask you this:
There is one card in the 06 set where the picture actually goes OVER into the white boarder...can you name it?

Off the top of my head, the Swisher is nice, and I also like the Pujols red shirt.
Houston Street: blue letter variation has a very washed out/blurred background. Sky looks grey as opposed to blue. Almost looks like a uniform variation, but because the pic's clarity is messed with, the blue letter's uniform is whiter.
Card #280, Ben Sheets, is your border answer. Not sure what exactly that is that's creeping over, though.
There is one card in the set that has the heritage logo on the front printed in black ink.
I think the Arod batting pose card is great, it reminds me of a '33 Delong the low angle shot makes him appear larger than the ball park. The Brad Lidge card is pretty cool with the 1900's style glove.
Some of the washed out photos add to the vintage feel of the set. The Rolen and Renteria come to mind.
My one gripe on the set is that so many of the photo's were used or obviously taken for the 2005 Turkey Red Set.
One of the oddest cards is No. 81 Guillarmo Mota. He is wearing a Red Sox uniform. He never ever wore a Red Sox uniform and probably never will. He was traded by the Marlins to the Red Sox this winter in the Beckett trade and before spring training, was sent off to Cleveland in the Coco Crisp deal.
Went to wally world today and got three blaster boxes..someone had hidden them under the diaper shelves..hmmmm
Anyways, I finally pulled blaster box ink!!!!! Thats the good part, the bad part is it was Jack Crimian, someome I have never or will probaby had never heard of. Better than another Piersall team topps legends, I guess
Perhaps the best pull was the elusive Bonds New Age, that my man softparade needs...no more man!! PM your address
LOL, that was sarcasm. When I find heritage I hide them for later. It used to be that you could leave the store with heritage on the shelves, but its too popular now a days. I need to feed my habit.
