Can't remember if I already posted this one or not. Sure, it's a super-common date, but the luster on this thing is phenomenal. It shone like a beacon from a dealer's case at the FUN show, and caught my attention from ten feet away. Had to have it.
Collector since 1976. On the CU forums here since 2001.
Here is an 1839-O quarter eagle. This piece might have been a crack-out candidate if there was not a dulling above the eagle's head on the reverse. As it is, it's a solid AU-58. Most of the coins have dies which are rotated 180 degrees.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

New addition to the double dime collection that arrived this week. Couldn't resist the OGH, CAC & subtle toning combo.

Here’s a better look

Very nice
These two need to go to CAC for a sticker. They came right out of a fresh collection. Been sitting in a safe forever.
