Thanks for proving my point.....SOS is overrated.
Yet both have played multiple ranked teams in the top 10 who are still in the top 10 and each came close to beating one of them not just beating up on Rutgers and Wisconsin

But they lost to those ranked teams. Iowa has the best loss of any of those 3 teams, as they lost a close game against #2.
The only reason Missouri and Tennessee are ranked is because they have sec beside their name.

Tennessee took GA to OT. The Bama game was closer than the score with one bad pass for a 99 yard pick 6. Missouri almost beat Bama and almost beat Vandy 2 top 10 teams. Theyre ranked because more emphasis is being put on the difficultly of opponents as it should
Iowa lost to Iowa State whose lost their last 3 games. The PSU win doesnt mean much now.

Iowa almost always loses to Iowa State. Its a rivalry game. Iowa lost 2 games by a combined 8 points, and had a 4th quarter lead against #2. There is zero evidence that those sec teams are better than Iowa. Alabama got pounded by a 3-4 team.

Iowa State lost to Colorado. Losing to Colorado is a season ender and destroys any strength of record argument as well.
Theres a ton of evidence that the SEC teams are better than Iowa everything from their SOS to SOR to talent on the field
You keep making arguments that contradict your self. So it matters for OSU that week 1 was Sayins first start but it doesnt matter that it was Simpsons first start for Bama?
The SEC Big 10 rivalry will be settled the same as it always has, in the Playoffs and other Bowl Games. That will also settle the SOS and SOR debate. Fans will always be fans but the AP Poll Voters need to start paying attention and vote with their heads, but I don't hold out much hope for that.

surprised there hasn't been more chatter about Ohio St's D
to this point they've given up 41 points.............in 7 games
that's less than 6 per, for those scoring at home
i wonder if basebal can find it within himself to grant them a shred of credit for being supremely dominant on that side of the ball
i'm smart enough to refrain from holding my breath
i'm sure an epic bob and weave job is forthcoming
here's my guess: nah, they're really not that good. Texas, Grambling, Ohio, Washington, Minnesota, Illinois, and Wisconsin all quit trying to score in the 1st quarter
Lol thanks for the laugh guys. It cracks me up the reactions for me just stating a fact.
Should Bama claim Downs too since you guys claim Burrow? Show me where I ever said OSU isnt good. Ive literally said that theyre the best team in the B!G and Downs is probably the best safety in the country.
Simple fact is Oklahoma dominated Michigan who never had a lead at any point in the game, Bama dominated Wisconsin, and Texas barely lost to OSU
You guys talk out of both sides of your mouth. Oklahoma is overrated but Michigan is great etc. Theres only a couple good team in the B!G. PSU was supposed to be one of them, they arent. Oregon has all the pieces but their QB isnt that good same problem Texas has.
OSU and Indiana are the two playoff level teams with Oregon being very good and it falls off quickly after that
@galaxy27 said: surprised there hasn't been more chatter about Ohio St's D.
In truth, there hasn't really been much of any talk/coverage of Ohio State that I've seen since the 1st game victory over Texas. That is peculiar. And just to be sure, I would be saying the same thing no matter what team was ranked 1st in the AP Poll. Considering the 2024-2025 defending Champion has been ranked 1st since the 1st week results and the Defensive performance you noted I wonder what the silence is about?? I expect that the chatter will probably start on Tuesday when the first CFP rankings are released.
Those rankings are funny and sure to surprise some people, especially the way the season has gone thus far. I think the games will take on some importance and the days of Top 10 teams not being held to account for 3-point wins over unranked teams are over. As the SEC teams with 3 losses start to build, the playoff picture will come into sharper focus with only 5 undefeated teams as of now.
Vanderbilt vs. Texas --- a 3rd loss to Vandy will effectively eliminate the Longhorns.
Oklahoma vs. Tennessee --- the loser here will also be eliminated.
Alabama, BYU and Texas A&M --- peculiar week to have a bye for these teams.
Penn State vs. Ohio State --- what was once seen as a pivotal game isn't, unless the Buckeyes lay an egg.

Ohio State covered in the Texas game. They were a 1 point favorite and won by a touchdown. Ohio State beat Texas, Texas spanked Oklahoma who spanked Michigan.
Theres been plenty of chatter about OSU when warranted. Big Noon kick off was there for the Illinois game which wasnt competitive and the other games arent worth talking about.
By the way theres no such thing as a Navy booster other than the tax payer. Its a United States Military Academy where players are not allowed to get NIL and are not recruited because of their sports talent, You have to meet the academic standards first before you get considered.

You're right. Actually only took one year. They joined the sec in 2024, and had the best record of any sec team in 2024.
You mean the fourth year of Sark after Heman got fired and now with Ewers gone theyre 6th in the SEC since Arch was a miss and they still barely lost to OSU at OSU

Without question better than some of the SEC coaches. FL, Ark, LSU already fired their coaches. Auburn is close to firing their coach. Kentucky is getting close but doesnt like the buyout and cares more about basketball.
OSU beat Texas by 7 and even last year not that it matters with roster turnover the absurd non call on the blatant hold that lead to a TD was the difference in the game.

"Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety," --- Benjamin Franklin
I was thinking this morning about how similar the paths of two teams, LSU and Penn State, have been this season. Both had high hopes early in the season with Head Coaches that were experienced and well regarded. Now at mid-season both teams are in disarray, hovering around .500 and having fired those coaches. That only reenforces the notion of parity in the NCAA with few true powers remaining. This years playoff may be decided by where teams are positioned for the 1st round of games because so many teams seem equal. It'll be hard to predict winners.

Even Nanny from Muppet Babies of all people said to Miss Piggy (the episode where she had sour grapes for not getting to play Snow White) that sometimes it's more fun to be the villain!
BTW if someone could make a video like this but with historical UK basketball pics (like for example, replacing the 1927 Murderer's Row pic with the '48 Cats, the REAL Fab Five, the OG Fab Five or replacing the Don Mattingly pic with Rex Chapman or Kenny Walker to match the time periods) would totally rock! Go Big Blue and Long Live the Evil Empire! lights glowing UK blue lightsaber

--- When a top ranked team plays an inferior, un-ranked opponent they are expected to dominate them in the fashion of today's Ohio State win over Penn State. It really doesn't prove anything because it is what is supposed to happen. What they aren't expected to do is win such a game by three points, especially when they come from behind to do that. My term for such teams is a "pretender" because I can't use anything more harsh
