The 1970's-1990's time frame was a wild time for silver. So many ups and downs. There are some pretty neat silver bars from that time period. I came across some while I was researching your new offerings. Sadly, I only have one 10oz from that time period. It is a beautiful, rainbow toned, Engelhard P-series loaf. My dad bought it in 1982. Still have the receipt and the canvas bag it was sold in.
Hey Dan, don't know if you've already addressed this,...my 2024 CG Half Eagle shows "7.78 grams" on the coin's reverse, however, on the reverse of the flip you wrote "8.05 grams". What gives? Thx.

It is better to be over-weight than underweight. 7.78 grams is, of course, exactly 1/4 troy oz.
But it is difficult to get the weight exactly right on small production runs.

Didn't know what to expect when I ordered but I'm glad I did. My photos aren't near what it looks like. I'll get some better lighting and redo them at some point. This is one cool bar......

The Peace Dollar has always been near and dear to my heart. I collected coins as a kid (stuff I found in change), plus sub-1 dollar purchases at the local coin shop. Trying to fill my blue Whitman Lincoln Penny folder and all of that.
I was on a field trip in 6th grade (late 1970s when silver prices were insanely high) and saw a classmate on a field trip trying to buy a can of Coke with a 1935 Peace dollar that his mother gave him. I offered him two dollars for it, and he gladly accepted my offer. I still own that Peace dollar.
I've loved Peace dollars ever since. I later completed my Peace dollar collection (nothing to brag about, but all graded PCGS 62+)

Here's my old Avatar, a 1964-D Peace dollar overstruck on a 1965 Kennedy half dollar. I got this from my friend Benny Haimovitz (RIP). We used to trade rare stuff from Dan, including Dan's KOTCT (Knights of the Coin Table) coins, which we both loved.
I have a question for all of you. I have 5 pieces of the Gruber and thee larger pieces along with the signed strips they
came with. They have toned quite a bit and even though I don’t show all of the ones that…..and they’ve even toned slightly
more. I made these pics awhile back.

My question is would you make a display out of these (my original intention). Or slab each one separately?
I still plan on holding them but with my help in question would it advisable to slab separate?

Or does someone have a better idea?

I would build or buy a display that keeps them together. They look incredible in your mock-up.

No additional chopping or hole mods desired.

There are two sizes of octagons that I punch: 35mm (Lesher Dollar size) and 41mm ($50 gold slug size).
The time that I might have either punched strip left over and available would be around the time that I am minting something that size.
I have not made any Lesher size pieces for a few years, but I will probably do more at some point.
The 41mm octagons (in silver) are typically made early in the new year.
Those strips are really kool ‼️Wouldn’t it be kooler than cool if Dan were to offer a set of the strip with the actual pieces he stamped out of the strip‼️👍👍🎯
And I don’t know how he punches out the rounds too, but how kool would it be if he made sets with the punched out round and the same sheet of metal they were punched out of as a set, what a kool display of his work that would be‼️‼️👍👍👍

Back at ya! It's been too long. A lot has transpired since my last appearance.
@Zoidmeister in the House , Whoop whoop, hope youve been well.
So I sent about 13 Carrs to ANACS, my first submission this year...
After logging in a dozen or two times the last two weeks to see them move from Received to Processing, and then Shipping Department I got the notification in my regular email that they were on their way back to me and a tracking number.
I went to go log into the site to see the grades that were issued, but a calm came over me. I paused, checked the tracking number which says expected arrival of this Friday. I closed the web browser.
The Grades are posted Im sure, but I'm gonna go with the good ole fashion surprise this time... wish me luck (even though its already set in stone, lol!! (well plastic))
I was arranging some of my Carr collection, and realized I haven't shared this one yet. I picked it up on Great Collections awhile back. I love Dan's double/triple strikes, especially his Peace dollars.
I hope you do better then I did @LukeMarshall. My recent Peace Dollars did not do well at all. In fact, one Bulk Handled Peace Dollar got the same grade as a High Grade Peace.
These 2 are on the way back from ANACS.

Got these back from ANACS today. The Amazonian Assay was the first off the press,( Dan let me have the very first 8 off the press and I numbered them as they came off).Population 1 in MS68…….. someone has a MS69,(not me), but this is the first Struck out of all the Amazonians‼️👍
Caught them on a good day on my “Big Owl “ Buffalo and got a MS70 ‼️👍
