Very cool Joey. I never found a 5 coin set at the right price so I patiently put one together. 1/20. - 1/10 - 1/4 - 1/2. & 1 oz. I’ll ad a 2 oz when I cross paths with one at the right time. Same with the reverse proofs ( which are really really spectacular). I’m patient and someday I’ll score them.

Today's acquisition from the local coin show.

(Not normally a collector of toned coins, but this one caught my eye and the seller wasn't overcharging for the "color.")

And thanks to the generosity of ParadiseFound here is the coin I won in one of her recent giveaways:

And finally I "completed" my selective (and limited) set of Commemoratives with the elusive Hawaii Commemorative:

Recently picked this up at a local antique/consignment shop. It jumped out at me from a glass display cabinet. Paid 25 bucks for it. Probably $15 to much but I had to have it.

Can't have too many Lincoln's. Won this on Sunday for $160. Only missing 15 coins 1909 - 1991. I figured this one will be my XF-AU brown Lincoln Dansco.

Not very easy to find without being messed with and above a vf. This I would say is close to AU.

(Funny Physics) Médaille 1855 (won a medal at Paris exposition in 1855) Reverse features a Devil’s head : Voisin mécanicien Fabnt (Fabricant) Manufacturer) 81 Rue Vieille du Temple Paris Andre.

Voisin was an engineer in mechanics, also a conjuror and a supplier of magic devices to other magicians. He had supplied a table to Robert Houdin, he was the main supplier of Benita Anguinet, theater in Paris.This token is from this very first address. Then extended his store, where he opened a showroom dedicated to his productions. In 1888, he shared the administration of Robert Houdini theater with Houdin’s widow the rights for conjuror’s show in this theater and all the associated magic devices were then sold to Georges Melies.

First UNC of this rare variety. 1877-S C-4 (my catalogue) "duck lips". Like the San Francisco Mint re-engraved the reverse die tail feathers extensively the following year on Morgan dollars, this is the most outrageous example of that practice on a Trade dollar. When it was originally discovered, it was thought to be a new hub. The variety is generally clustered in VF/XF and most commonly with problems. I have handled a few problem-free AUs, but this is the first UNC I have seen. It has a light obvious cleaning but presents very nicely.

This is about the 6th finest, definitely a condition census piece. They are very difficult to locate in AU.

But, if willing to take a chance, you can pick up some really attractive coins that should not be languishing on a list.

I've done enough business with GFRC (both buying and selling) that I know what to expect when I buy something from the photos (and the description, which is the key) on the website. I've only sent one coin back out of dozens purchased after misjudging the coin from the photos. All I can ask from online dealers in terms of coin photos is consistency.
