Do you all keep the stickers on the backs of your slabs that are won from the auction houses?

Hello, for those of you all that have slabbed coins from HA, GC or maybe any other places, do you keep the stickers with the auction info that are attached on the backs of the slabs or do you all peel them off?
Maybe it's me being neurotic but I feel like it's like leaving a price tag on an item and I want to remove them. The cautious side of me though keeps on seeing the threads on fake slabs and maybe that keeping the stickers on possibly helps with authentication if I were to sell any of these in the future. So far the latter has won out and I have yet to remove any of them.
Thanks in advance for anyone's thoughts on the matter.

I remove them. The information is retained in my auction account.

I leave them alone. It's part of the provenance.
No.
No, the sooner you take them off the better chance they will not leave glue residue behind. Once on for a while they are very hard to get off.

I hate them and I remove them.

What @PerryHall and @pursuitofliberty said.
At least the auction houses use removable stickers. I've spent hours get sticker residue off some old holders where non-removable stickers were applied.

I posted this same thread a few years ago, and was told that those gluey labels are totally useless.
Remember, the TPC certification number can and will be traced back to your auction.
I've never experimented, but an auction label could become more difficult to totally remove down the road.
I throw them away at the earliest moment.
I remember many years ago in the early 1990's, I bought a coin in an old no-line fatty NGC slab with the full width rectangular hologram on the reverse. When I pulled off the large dealer sticker that covered the hologram, the whole damned hologram came off with the damned sticker. I was not at all happy and I've since heard of others having the same experience.

@PerryHall, eeesh! After reading that story I don't want to try it with some of the older ones where the sticker has been on there for years. I'll definitely try removing the stickers from the ones that I've gotten in the past couple of months though.
@pursuitofliberty, it took me a sec to catch on lol.
Thanks again to everyone for the replies.
Been there. I've seen a bunch of walking wounded slabs like that.

Any business that handles slabs will need a way to account for them in their inventory. Two options- put the slab in a sleeve and attach inventory info to that or just attach the info to the slab. The obvious choice is to attach the info to the slab since a sleeve can be separated from the slab and misplaced. That being the case, there are four places on the slab that inventory info can be attached- over the obverse of the coin, over the reverse of the coin, over the description/grade label on the front or over the TPG label on the back. Only one of these locations is going to be acceptable- guess which one. Considering this, maybe the TPG could have done a better job of designing their labels/holograms?
Just a thought...

This happens. Labels that were recently applied can be easier to take off than ones that have been on for a long time.
I remove them. If they are stubborn or leave a residue I use a little bit of volatile mineral oil to soften them and it usually makes it easy to remove even the residue.

Ronsonol is your friend for label glue.
Also just save the auction photo/s.
No, I remove and throw the stickers out. Otherwise it’s like buying clothes and wearing them with the tags on.
Nothing is as expensive as free money.
I remove them and attach them to the invoice.
This is what I do, most of the time.

CAC wants your stickers to be removed. When it comes time to sell, would you want anyone to see where you bought your coins? Rather keeping stickers, for tax reasons it's more important to keep the invoices. At the worse you be able to prove a tax loss.
Dang, I feel like a heathen!
These have been on so long I may as well just crack them out!
I clean up every slab as soon as it arrives. Those who have stickers that have been in place for years may want to get a hair dryer to soften them before pulling on them in any way.

Good idea
I leave them there, because many times they damage the label on removal.

This sticker has been on this slab since I purchased it quite a long time ago

I never buy from auction houses. Other sellers will place a label on the reverse, and in most cases I just leave them there. No sense messing up the slab.
I remove stickers. They’re a PIA to remove if not done so immediately. If I sell the coin or show it to someone it’s none of their business where I got it and in some cases how much I paid.
I remove the stickers and put them on the polypropylene bag that I keep on the slab.
Nope.

I remove the auction house stickers and replace them with my own, which include the date purchased, price paid in code, die variety and rarity information.
I carefully peel them off and toss them right away.
I keep the invoices and my own inventory on a spread sheet.

I remove them at all times.
I then attach them to the invoice that I file away.
When I enter the coin into my inventory, I add the auction house name and item number in the note column.

Kennedys are my quest...
I bought an expensive PCGS slab from (Coast to Coast, I think) major seller on eBay, and asked that they remove the label sticker before sending it to me. They did.
I would generally remove stickers. However, my Chopmarked CC Trade Dollar has a sticker on the reverse that says TruView. When I purchased the coin (online) I had not seen that (not shown in the photo's). So it was a pleasant, unexpected, surprise when I checked it out and saw the TV. I have left that little sticker on the slab. Cheers, RickO

Ok, I went to my bank today and was able to remove all the auction house stickers without issue including my first purchases from 6 years ago.
Only CAC and Eagle Eye stickers would I leave on. Everything else is carefully removed.

The early NGC slabs have the most delicate holograms. I’ll bet more than half that I see these days have damage to the hologram. 😖

I like my plastic, naked. To remove sticker residue, I soften it overnight in peanut butter. Windex helps to remove the peanut oil in the morning.

I remove them and put them on the invoice, which I also keep for tax purposes.
