I found the coin and bought the grading/attribution.

This is a 1967-P Alaska Purchase Centennial Set (#32 of only 100 minted in sets with the platinum medal). All are edge numbered 32 and have the "P" Philadelphia Mintmarks. This is a very scarce set now because most sets with platinum were melted when the price hit over $2,000 an ounce early in 2008 for a few months.
These are official U.S. Mint National Commemorative medals and are listed as Turner #19 or Dean D-1967-3abc. The platinum medal is already on the way to our hosts for grading which is why the photo is without the plastic capital holder.

It's a California fractional gold piece... 25 cents back in the day. It's just amazing how small it is. There's a half Dollar fractional too...

Just arrived. This is the second cudded late die state of the rare 1798 BB-110 dollar. Different state than the BB-110 I already have. So it is also a keeper, despite the holes. (Looks Fine Details to me.) The other one of which I am aware and is commonly known is the really nice one that I believe was handled by Julian Leidman and David Perkins.

Another recent pick up. An attractive 1876-CC FS-801 DDR in an old ANACS small white holder, from the short period when they didn't assign Net or Details grades. I'll just go with AU50 Details. The obverse field is scratches, but presents well nonetheless due to the toning.
