Yesterday was the start to this Holiday Season as an abundance of trick-or-treaters showed up beyond expectations forcing us to find some non sweet treats to add to the mix. Having the option of Top Ramen was welcomed by some.
The candy delivery was accomplished using the drop basket technique to comply with social distancing protocols.
Then it was appreciated that modern technology allowed us to share in the festivities with extended family located in distant locales.
And then there was the "Pumpkin Spice" concoction I came up with experimenting with using egg nog to make a seasonal themed tapioca pudding. All are welcome to imitate for a Thanksgiving treat. (Just substitute half of the milk for egg nog and add cinnamon and nutmeg before boiling.)
Had a nice day with my better half today. Nothing beats New England this time of year. We had a nice lunch at a brewery in Brattleboro, VT. The view from our table.

@1630Boston I found some Harpoon brewery beer here the other day. That's incredibly rare on the west coast so I'm excited to give it a try, even if it is strange pumpkin something. Why can't they export UFO I think it was called. I toured their brewery on vacation in 2012 and have always had a soft spot.

The 9th Army Band a/k/a 9th Army "Arctic Warrior" Band has been working for weeks to put together a special tribute for our Veterans that is currently available on their facebook page.
Yesterday they posted "Day 3 of our Veterans Day Video Series."
On Facebook, or simply through Google, enter "9th Army Band" for the multi-day tribute. Scroll down to the Day 3 entry to hear their performance at it is interjected with the comments of various veterans.

Hammond Castle, rocky coastline, Gloucester, Massachusetts

Hammond Castle is located on the Atlantic coast in the Magnolia area of Gloucester, Massachusetts. The castle, which was constructed between 1926 and 1929, was the home and laboratory of John Hays Hammond, Jr. He was an inventor who was a pioneer in the study of remote control and held over four hundred patents. The building is composed of modern and 15th-, 16th-, and 18th-century architectural elements and sits on a rocky cliff overlooking Gloucester Harbor.
