Do us (and yourself) a favor and edit your post to link the obverse & reverse together. Is there 1 $3 or 2 $3s

Thank you so for your answers. Kind of shocked my mom would even have these.

Should I get them graded?i would be pretty shocked if there weren't at least a couple members here that would want the $3. they are quite popular but HIGHLY counterfeited.

Get the 1855 G$3 slabbed. The other coins aren't worth the cost of getting them slabbed. Nice coins.

The $3's gold looks legit to me... definitely worth getting them slabbed. Very nice pieces...

I think the three's could be a problem.
Look at the pock before the numeral 3 on the reverse. The same pock (possibly raised),on both coins.
On the obverse, look at the tick on the left bottom of the 'O' in 'OF'. Same thing on both coins. How about whatever that is running along the top of the 'F' in 'OF'. Same thing on both coins.1 -

Bummer about that big fingerprint.

Repeating defects such as this is a sure sign of fake coins made from the same set of false dies. They're probably made from real gold though.

Started thinking about what if the real die had this mark... but that would be a "die bump" rather than a die pit, so wouldn't happen, right?

@moursund also look at the marks on both sides of the 3. If these were die diagnostics then it would be well known to collectors by now.

@moursund its one thing that counterfeiters fail to do. Getting rid of marks that will show up on every coin they fake. No 2 genuine coins get the same marks and dings.

Do you have one $3 gold piece that you posted multiple pictures of or two different coins? If it’s just one coin, my guess is that it’s genuine.

It is from two different ones. I guess it's fake or should I bring it to a coin dealer to check? Or just send it to grade and have them check it out?

Two coins. Look at the strike in DOLLARS and 1855. I think they're good gold, but not real. Something a little too clunky looking, but maybe that's just the picture.

That is confusing - picture wise it looks like 2 different coins but mark wise they have the same dings/dents in the exact same places obverse and reverse

@luckyrollers If that is 2 different coins they are counterfeit, but may be made of gold. Bring them to a coin dealer and have them tested. Gold is worth money.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with what other posters have said.
Pretty sure the 3's are fakes, from the same die. The reverse number and lettering and overall mushiness are tells to me ... as are the identical marks in at least a few places (near O in OF, indent next to 3, indent on lower right of wreath).
The ASE looks okay, I think.
The Morgan's both look real.
“We are only their care-takers,” he posed, “if we take good care of them, then centuries from now they may still be here … ”

The gold coins appear to be fake.... Best to have them all checked - fake ASE's and Morgans from China are flooding the market. Cheers, RickO

Compare the date of the coin posted by Goldbully to the date of the OP’s coins.
The OP coins date appear much thicker.
