MS65BN PCGS. Huh? To me this is a 66 all day long!PS I love the unusually dated 1934 coins with the long descenders on the 3s that did not reappear until 1943.

@BeefCurry808 I don't believe I've ever seen the mintmark so close to the first 9 as on your coin ... not that I've made any kind of systematic study ... Pretty coin!

Of course back then the Philadelphia Mint die shop supplied all the dies for the branch mints, and the mintmarks were applied by hand punches into the working dies before being sent on. That's why the S VDB has four mintmark positions and the 1914-D has five. I believe it was 1996 before the Denver Mint finally opened its own die shop, first at a branch mint.

Been kinda quiet over here ... so I thought I would repost this one. A 1909 VDB in 67RB PCGS. Still one of the prettiest 09 VDBs I've ever seen. It's about to find itself a new home with another collector, since I have had it for a couple or three years.

A couple of newly graded Lincoln's. One was raw (1945) and the other (1937) was previously NGC MS65BN.
The 1937 received the same grade from our hosts while the 1945 graded MS66BN (very surprised).

Here's a coin I've owned for years. It just came back from PCGS. This is one of my all time favorite toner Lincolns. The green is awesome in the cartwheel!

Man, that thing has a whopper of a mintmark! I don't pay a lot of attention to Lincoln Memorial cents but ... wow!

Picked up this ms67rb, and grabbed an album last week with about 40 beautifully toned brown lincolns in an old Whitman misc cent album I'll be submitting, most look to be ms65-ms67 range at least...should be interesting and should fill most of my short set.
