The 42 has been posted before but the 40 and 41 is from Winged Liberty. Thanks for giving me the chance to purchase them Paul! The 42 came from Abe's Coloring Book. I posted the 3 to show why I love these 3 coins together as a trio...
In my collection.
Gorgeous colors. Never noticed, the spots aren't as bad, the TV seems to light them up.
It's nice to see I'm not the only one that's had that happen. My 26-S has a spot on the rev on the right wheat. I never even noticed it until I got the trueview back. It doesn't subtract from my love for the coin. I never even notice it unless I intentionally go looking for it.
Curry, of those, the 1941 is my fav! The trio are stunning. Congratulations!

Thanks brother! I recognize that 23 from a mile away. I still feel that 23 is undergraded, maybe you need it to send it on a trip for that 66bn!
Thanks. Its been a good collecting week for the two of us. We stand on the shoulders of giants. Perhaps, when it is our turn to pass on our stewardship of such incredible coins to the next generation, they will look back on our sets as we do to those who build sets before us.

I would hope there is a future to these coins, quite hard for someone to say no when color is blaring at them!
I know this was posted here before, but I'm very happy to have WingedLiberty place this coin to my collection. I would consider it one of the three great center pieces to my set.

Interesting that you get a BN on yours and I get an RB on mine.

Yes, I agree. I have a number of coins that IMHO are RB in BN holders. I also have some that are BN in RB holders. I find that PCGS is pretty consistent now with numeric grading. I feel like there is much more variation in BN/RB designations. My hypothesis is that maybe there is a variation in lighting in on-site grading vs "back at the office" grading. I don't know. I just try to roll with it.
I was talking with another forum member / toned registry owner and he made the comment that he thought the second 1916 that made 67BN should have been RB. I went and looked at the image again and thought, "You know, I can see that..."
I got a 26-P in the mail today that was advertised on ebay as an RB. The pic made it look really brown. I didn't think anything of it.... figuring the seller was trying to stretch a RB designation for a little better money. Nope, it's no question RB, but the kicker is that it has some pretty nice toning to it. I totally didn't see that coming. ….I may send it in anyway just because it is worthy of preservation. I've got another raw 26-P headed my way. Maybe it'll be more brown.

I agree with you. PCGS is very inconsistent with color designation. I think these two came from the same roll or album.
I bought both of these coins RAW for less than $50.00 on eBay. I am glad that you guys are asleep, or not considering RAW coins. I also got this one for $1.00 plus shipping.....A 67BN POP 1/0:
I use to find coins in rolls........now I find them on eBay........times change.

Results from a recent submission, both graded PR66BN.......
A great job of imaging by PCHS Photo.......thanks Phil.
Here are my closest twins, both Ex: Abe's Coloring Book. The 32-P is 65BN, the 32-D 66BN.
I've always loved the run of 1932 to 1935 Lincoln cents. The numbers in style and position are slightly different each year. In 1932 the 3 and 2 are skewed from vertical, the 3 tilted forward, the 2 leaning backward. Then in 1933 the two 3s are identical and vertical. In 1934 we get the long-diagonal 3 that would make a one-year appearance only to disappear again until 1943, and then in 1935 we get a 3 that resembles the 1933s again.
😂 I owned the 26-D before I traded it to Paul. He offered it back to me along with two other coins he received in trades from me after he retired his set.
