I've been drooling over this one for a while. Obverse is great but just look at that reverse. And the early cert #.
Thanks, it looks just like that in hand.... probably the most accurate trueview pic I've seen. I told the seller that anyone that didn't like that coin should give up and start collecting proof silver eagles. He thought that was hilarious since he has a lot of people that come into his shop to buy them. He said he tells them, "It's just bullion, man." I thought the price was a bit much, but now that it's in hand, I'm glad I bought it.
If you guys follow, the 42 is one of the harder dates for color, The 42 S below is a color upgrade from my previous piece. Both of these coins came from @CopperColor. As him and @Ronyahski would say, Coyote Ugly because of the massive fingerprint on the back. The 40 S is a 65BN and the 42 S is a 64BN

Yep, I would say they both get a Coyote Ugly badge.
Some refer to overgraded slabs as Coffins. I like to think of them as Happy Coins.

I completely agree. I don’t really think either should.

Love the 1947-S!!
I don't see anything questionable about the 1909.........that is a great looking coin. A couple of the graders must have had a bad day.

Here's a few:
If I could buy 64BN's like this, there'd be no incentive for me to go for 65's and 66's. I guess the only solution for me is to submit 64BN's myself.
