    Almost nothing now. About the only thing that does is when an unexpected coin from my series comes up for sale that I want to buy.

    Well, many things, in coins, excite me. Something simple and not what many would focus on as I do. I go through tons of CRH. as many know. What tends to get my heart pumping the most is every single time I run across a 1992 Cent. P or D. Esp. when the coin I'm looking at the time is in a stunning RED. Knowing a second later when I flip to the reverse, it could end up being that elusive Variety! When I go through a Bank Box, I seem to find a vast amount of these, but not the "Close Am". Maybe, one day my heart will stop, when I finally hunt one down? Lol. :D

    Getting what I believe to be a really good deal. It could be for a $10 dollar item or a 3,000 dollar item. I rarely spend more than that or the second number would be much higher.

    What excites me, seeing a coin come up for auction or sale that hasn't been on the market for quite some time. Especially one that I need for upgrade or set completion. I get even more excited the closer to the end of the auction. Break out the mad money.

    I get excited by the whole picture. A really nice coin that I've been trying to find, rare at any time, suddenly appears for sale or auction in a great holder, with a sticker, from an old collection, with a really cool backstory, with toning that is gorgeous, and is offered for some mysterious reason at a price point where I can play.

    What? It's happened a few times. :)

    I'm excited almost all the time, at least once a week, sometimes several times.

    I'm not sure what's better.

    Currently a coin, token or medal with a good story surrounding it. There are history books full of them for the British kings and Roman emperors.

    I get the inch to fill date holes in an “album” every once an while for Indian cents. I put those thoughts out of my mind. Perhaps the album fill idea is a sign of senility. :p

    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

    I like that look, too. Edit to add: I love a smooth planchet with a great strike. Pretty toning is nice, too.
