Remember when the mint would stop sales for a week to do inventory and when they came back up, lots of old stuff was available?
Am I remembering that correctly or making that up?

I don't know why we're bothering to check in. There's a neat feature the mint provides called REMIND ME. Just let them know you're interested in a specific coin, they'll remind you later on when it's available, you can then just pop in and purchase it. Relax and wait for that reminder!

I think that is about right. Especially if they are down to the bottom of the inventory, they sometimes didn't know exactly how many were available until they counted. That may still be true to some extent.

I thought they took the entire website down for "inventory" once a year or something like that. Back when you could call the warehouse directly.
Funny story, back when the 2006 20th Anniversary 3 coin gold and silver coins came out, I called the warehouse directly and was able to get an order of 6 Gold sets placed. My order of 10 was canceled because my credit card declined the high order. This was WAY after they had "sold out" but they shipped the "last 6" they had.
Those were the days..

Coming from one of the “Lucky Sunday” benefactors, the one piece of advice I can give; do not get complacent. Do NOT assume the mint is on vacation or figure the mint is not going do much during the holiday. Be vigilant. Stay focused. I’ll repeat the adage, “it’s not over until it says ‘Sold Out!’

It is probably a simple single script that updates the sites available quantities once a day. They have probably paused the script around Christmas and will probably resume it at some future point after.

The catalog flipped at 0530 mst. There was one 24k gold EOW2 (not AGE) that was in stock and available. None of the mayflower or other products showed available.
