Looks like there are plenty of coins that need to get to market!

Looks like they have some coins to move. They should call me up and I will take all 8 of those remaining AGEs off their hands. One easy transaction and they can stop fretting about them.

I don't understand why they are having a hard time selling them. I meet with a group every morning for "forumklatsch" and I know we would be more than happy to grab the remaining inventory.

I'd take one for the team and I'd buy them all.

I would say yes because I was able to get the ERP ASE in August of this year.

Yes. They just can't mint any. So, it depends on whether they have the supply available.

Those 8 AGE spoken for... managers , connected Washington insiders

[Those 8 AGE spoken for... managers , connected Washington insiders]

Weirdly enough....I would actually predict that the changes are higher that those 8 remaining AGE coins will be melted down before they are sold to insiders...because that's the upside down world in which we now live!

Plus, the Mint has a rich history of melting down rarities rather than even sending 1 specimen to the Smithsonian!

Which rarities are you speaking of?

Let’s not forget the few sets of 1976 Ty 1 Ike, 50C and 25C Bicentennial proofs minted in Philadelphia, exhibited by the U.S. Mint at the 1974 ANA show and then melted down thereafter. If memory serves me right, the 6th edition of the Judd book referred to this act as the melting of National treasures and questioned why the were not sent to the Smithsonian. But, again, don’t quote on this as I haven’t opened that 6th edition in ages.

Catalog flipped at 0530 MST, one (1) of the 24K EOW II coins (not AGE) showed available. No mayflower showed available though.

  • OnastoneOnastone Posts: 3,872 ✭✭✭✭✭

The 1/2 oz gold was available for about 15 seconds. Got one in my bag. When do we see the updated #'s again? Tuesday?

As for everything else, back to zero.

I’m waiting on the “big one” to show up so I can get it in my bag.... no luck on the coin yet either.

Getting it in the bag is easy, it's placing the order that's soooooo difficult. You have a 1/2 a second to do this, maybe 3/4. All the snow here is gone from all the rain and 50 degree temps but the cold has returned, 22 out right now.
