1864 L Indian head varieties I can't resist buying when I find a rare one. This is the crk-002 variety no snow number and with early die state reverse. It should have a heavy die crack at 6 o'clock on the reverse. To bad this one had some cleaning.

you need a quick edit to fix die crack location
Obverse instead of reverse lol

Sorry but the crk-002 variety has both obverse and reverse die cracks at 6. Sam

This one was done by Wilhelm Mayer who was in business with his brother-in-law as Mayer & Wilhelm.

A die sinking establishement which was founded in 1860 by Wilhelm Mayer who was a sculptor and engraver. In 1876 his brother in law Frantz Wilhelm joined the firm. Wilhelm Mayer was born in 1840, Franz was born in 1846 and was an engraver by trade.

I just bought this dime for Mrs_Spud for Christmas. It’s for her Roosevelt Registry set on NGC. She only collects dimes, Roosevelt’s, Mercury, Barbers and Seated ones. She loves the coin, and it made her set jump up 7 places to rank 137 over at NGC. Normally toned reverses aren’t as popular as toned obverses are, but when I showed that auction picture to Mrs_Spud she said for Roosevelt Dimes that it’s all about the torch and she liked it better the way the torch is all colorful than if the obverse was toned so I got it for her. These pictures are from the auction, but I cropped them

It finally arrived from Portugal. No more posting the sellers photos. I love the high relief detail of this 1861 Leopold Wiener medal, especially how the light plays off the castle wall behind the Angel. Looks like the castle is being lit from behind the figures.

1889 Baltimore Post Office Dedication - Bombardment of Fort McHenry Token- Rulau MD-BA-220 - NGC MS65PL POP 1/1/0

In 1889, the Maryland Exposition was a weeklong celebration for the 75th anniversary of the bombardment of Fort McHenry in the War of 1812 when the Star Spangled Banner was written. President Harrison also attended the event and did the dedication of the new post office with a Italian Renaissance Revival design.

Somewhat common token, usually holed, with just 2 certified ATS.

I just received this coin from Great Collections. It's a nice upgrade (MS 67 CAC) and fits right into the commemorative collection I am working on. (But my Gawd, 144 coins is a LOT). So, although I do not think it is as cool as some of the really special coins and tokens that have been posted, I am still happy with it.

Just got this from Heritage this week. I've been looking for a nice one for about 3 years. Shipping was a little dicey as it was originally scheduled for 12/11 but that date disappeared the day before. The new delivery date appeared on Saturday and it did actually arrive on Monday.

Won these two on Great Collections Auction last weekend. Received them today. The white hairlines on both coins are fine scratches on cases which are not visible with the eye only.

got this a little earlier than I expected; was planning on picking up one of these in 2021, but I accidentally won w my bid on the bay; wasn't expecting to win this as I submitted a bid late last night and it was ending v early this morning, when I wouldn't be monitoring - didnt get a great price, but an avg price, by the looks of it?

a little sketched out as seller has short [but seemingly 100% positive?] history, and these are the sellers ** terrible ** photos

first anacs holder for me, so if anything jumps out as sketch, would appreciate you raising a flag
