I am not saying the above scenario will end psa but it will likely create a period of low revenues that make the investors do drastic things and that is usually a bad situation for collectors or the product. cheers!
I don't understand at all. Are you suggesting the 50% increase in prices for an ultra modern value submission has caused more people to submit? Do you really think PSA likes having boxes upon boxes of cards waiting to earn revenue, rather than have the revenue? I think PSA wants the volume to slow down so that it can get the turnover rates under control, and I'm mystified why anyone would think otherwise.
well jsut read blurryface's posts, he will tell you that the volume is not going to slow no matter what they charge and it will never be under control.
I think he is also saying which is probably true but the days of the vintage set builders are done if prices will be a minimum of 15 bucks for any grade at this point. psa is evolving to satisfy what they think (what is currently) the most profitable client( pack breakers) and the rest will be put aside. maybe they will act like beckett and come out with a new line of "psa vintage grading" , who the heck knows........

no way a bulk was done in under a month in 18-19. sure, we all get those ones that for some unexplained reason breeze through, but bulk has never had an average of being completed in under a month any time recently.

If you send in and the special is for cards under $100 value.. from what I have heard if you get a big hit, PSA will upcharge due to the value of the card after grading.

What do they mean by "altered stock?" I've never received that one.
According to PSA: N-5 Altered Stock - This includes, but is not limited to characteristics on the card that appear to show some form of alteration such as paper restoration, crease/wrinkle pressing or enhanced gloss.
This is only my third submission still getting the hang of it.

So tempted to call and see if I can move a dozen of the cards to $50 service, still keeping at least 20 cards on the original value order. Wonder if they'd even do that? Would be ruining just about any chance of profit, but I guess 4-5 months of waiting hadn't really sunk in.

What do they mean by "altered stock?" I've never received that one.

Hoping for some movement before end of the year, but from the looks of all the other posted Economy subs & turnaround times I don't have my hopes up.
I have a 9 card economy order that just went to QA2 today. Hoping it pops tomorrow.

they are working on economy orders that were entered on or before 7/10 as of yesterday.
Have 2 Value orders in (37 cards at $10 and 42 cards at $12). Both received 11/24 but so far that's it. February too optimistic for being entered?
Used to working on HOF SS Baseballs--Now just '67 Sox Stickers and anything Boston related.
They will be entered by then. Seems like about 1 month and they get entered. Bad news is for Value it's gonna be a long time before they hit grading. THink like 5 months...

i have bulk that is marked as received but still isn't entered from mid july.
So tempted to call and see if I can move a dozen of the cards to $50 service, still keeping at least 20 cards on the original value order. Wonder if they'd even do that? Would be ruining just about any chance of profit, but I guess 4-5 months of waiting hadn't really sunk in.
