i have bulk that is marked as received but still isn't entered from mid july.

wow. That is crazy. I have 5 value and 3 pack submissions all from after that date, and every single one of them has been entered at least. Not one has hit grading though, only my economy has got that far.

Each of these is a 100+ card value sub. All seem to be on the same trajectory. Not expecting them back until spring of next year at the earliest.

    arrived entered
    07/13/20 09/09/20
    07/23/20 09/18/20
    08/10/20 10/12/20
    10/07/20 11/07/20
    10/07/20 11/17/20

I cannot hit curveball. Straightball I hit it very much. Curveball, bats are afraid.

First time post & submitting to PSA.

    Economy level submission (26 cards)

    Recieved: 8/24/2020
    Entered: 9/27/2020
    Grading (step 4): 10/21/2020

Hoping for some movement before end of the year, but from the looks of all the other posted Economy subs & turnaround times I don't have my hopes up.

Yours looks almost identical to mine. Economy: Dlvd 9/1, Recd 9/27, Research 10/2, Grading 10/21. Not in QA yet.Maybe that last week of Dec they'll hit QA and graded by 1/18? The wait is killing me and it's only 21 cards.

That is an interesting question. It has to have happened. I bet they ship them and really wouldn't even know the member has passed away.

Not nearly as drastic, but a question I have that is in a similar vein...if your CC membership ends prior to your submission being entered, are they grandfathered in under your previous membership. I am sure with the current turnaround times, this has to have happened.

One new experience I had. The CC I use for the submission was flagged for a fraud alert by my bank, and subsequently cancelled, and a new card was issued. Now, at some point, I guess I'll have to call PSA and change the CC on all the orders.

By the time your cards are graded your credit card number will have changed two more times due to fraudulent transactions!

My CC is also in assembly and has been for a week. I am not getting my hopes up for much movement on the six subs I have in for a while. The one sub that actually did pop for me was in assembly for quite a while. I think like 3 weeks or more.

Me too. My 9 card economy has been in QA2 for 8 days or so. It seems like instead of finishing out the order, they are taking a bunch of orders and processing the same stage.

Very similar experience as above. This was my first sub to PSA and I went with a Collector's Club Special for Gridiron Greats.
It arrived 11/3 and has not been entered yet. Similar experience with Beckett, my last order was a 30 days service received 5/4/20 and I received the cards back last week. So I figure 5-6 months is the norm these days.

I have a 1 card $50 order in R/ID since 10/21 received on 9/21 not sure what is taking so long it is a rare card but not that rare it is a 61 Phillies Cigar Mantle. There are several graded already. Sent 4 total orders in with it, the other 3 are $20 orders and they are all in grading

i had one of those (circumstances, not the mantle itself) about a month ago. nothing really special about the cards either. frustrating for sure.

it seems yours mighta landed around the barcode transition period too? forget the exact dates now...

@blurryface I edited my post to add deatails of the other orders in the package. This was a barcoded order.

  • OAKESY25OAKESY25 Posts: 4,726 ✭✭✭

I also have a 100 card bulk order received on that 9/22 order just got entered today so 3 full months on that to get entered.

i can say w some certainty that there are some internal issues/ hold ups going on w the barcode system when multiple orders of different service levels are included in one box.

  • blurryfaceblurryface Posts: 5,136 ✭✭✭✭✭

    bulk question.

anyone have a ball park timeframe from the time a sub hits assembly to poppage date?

a week, a couple weeks, another month, 2040, etc?

  • 19591959 Posts: 631 ✭✭✭

    about 8-8 months on economy

  • blurryfaceblurryface Posts: 5,136 ✭✭✭✭✭

had a 60 card economy pop today that was sent on 8/25 and entered on 9/22.

one of those lucky ones that slide thru quickly. have about 20 other economy subs from june and july still stuck in grading.

    win some, lose some.

  • 19591959 Posts: 631 ✭✭✭

Blurryface, Mine,(about 5) also June and July. Grading. Was your 60 card the same year and sport.? Mine is all over the place as far as year , and sport.

Up and down. They are all nicely centered cards and my collection houses lots of mid grade centered HOF rookies. Thought the DR J was a 4, and the Bly was a 6. Also thought the Reggie was between 5 or 6 and the Robinson a 5. So I will take the upgrades of the bly and Reggie and be happy. The Robinson is definitely the worst on centering so it will be sold and not kept.

i'm sure they are grading a lil tougher on dr j these days after what happened a few months back. but if everything evens out to what ya thought overall, that's a success in my book.

earlier this year psa 9s eclipsed $25k when you used to be able to pick them up for $5k. they have come back to earth since then, but i would assume once cards hit certain price thresholds they garner more scrutiny grading wise. zero proof to back up my thought process.

@blurryface I agree with that 100% but I would say the price point is significantly lower than even the $5k you mentioned that PSA starts becoming overly aware of the value their grade gives.

Anyone get back any $50 Regular orders recently? I’m trying to get a rough idea on how many business days it’s taking, their site says 25 days and I’m currently at 31 business days not counting Thanksgiving,Xmas eve and Xmas day.

$5k wasn't the price point that i was suggesting psa starts to takes notice, rather i was just stating the price point at what a 9 was sitting at not too long ago. by using the same 5x multiplier ($5k to now $25k) a dr.j rookie that was around $200 in value now all of a sudden is closer to $1k card thus resulting in more scrutiny and perhaps a now tougher grading standard keeping in mind 76s initial assessment was a 4 and came back a 3, i think.

Have a Collector’s Club renewal that has been stuck in assembly for over two weeks. Anyone else seeing these lengths of time in that stage or perhaps longer?

Same issue here. I had a renewal and a regular sub hit Assembly on the same day. The Regular sub was delivered to me on 12/24 the Renewal is still in assembly

Cards arrived today. Here are a couple I was hoping would go one grade higher. And the Blyleven that I was expecting a 6 on since they are notoriously tough on 71’s.

    .

I cannot hit curveball. Straightball I hit it very much. Curveball, bats are afraid.

i like your style. decently centered dr j w no elbow fisheye.

a tough combo in any grade!

  • nice cards,

I would have thought the horning should be a 4 as well.

dr J looks like a pretty good bend and twist on in the top left section so maybe 3 is right.

you were being pretty critical on the blyleven, unless the corners look really soft on the back no way would I have been expecting a 6, the chipping looks very minimal to me

  • Arrived 10/5 bulk, no movement since 10/5

    qa2 is the worst. :)

correction: hitting qa2 just a few days before the holiday and new years day run, coupled with them being on fridays is definitely the worst.

I have had an order in QA2 for about a month now

  • blurryfaceblurryface Posts: 5,136 ✭✭✭✭✭

    102 card sub, bulk
    pre-barcode system.

    arrived: 7/06
    logged: 8/15
    assembly: 12/5

being that it's been stuck in assembly for a month tomorrow, just trying some reverse psychology and/or low key flogging in some futile attempt to jar it loose.

My pack order just hit grading for those interested in wait time on packs. This was a 40pack order 16 per pack. Don't remember if it was considered a "special" or not.
