They might be betting on the come. Pre-Sale.

Hmmmm...as of Last Friday MCM alone has sold 120 NGC 69 graded coins...and Pinehurst originally had well over 275 NGC 69's on sale...and that's only two dealers ..That's from a week ago

If this is on eBay, I believe both their listings are pre-sales.

I got the numbers of the graded Silver Eagles off of there web pages.

Quite a difference, don't you think?

Thank you for posting and yes it shows our host it harder to get a 70. Almost 50% harder.
While NGC you have almost an 80% chance of getting a 70. If I was a FLIPPER I would be sending to #@# and not #@#@.

In my experience, Iv'e sent in several NGC Proof 70 graded ASE's to PCGS for crossover and not a one of the coins would make the grade at PCGS.

Me too I though I would make a quick buck but got stuck with 69s. I stuck the somewhere in the Vault and forgot about them. Makes you wonder which one is right other than Grading is VERY SUBJECTIVE. :(

I can't tell the difference between Proof 69 and Proof 70 myself.

  • Options

Total 1995-W proof ASE's graded by NGC & PCGS
    NGC-proof 70 -615
    PCGS proof -70 -382
    Total proof -70 =997
We'll have to see what the total numbers graded at proof 70 for the 2019-s Enhanced ASE's
end up and compare to see what the Value of the 2019-s will be to the 1995-W.
    IMHO.

There are 71 people watching the EBAY bid which ends in 27 hours. That’s a lot of eye, it’s a Pre-Sale for a 69:NGC Grade SanFrancisco Label, nothing extravagant. AMAZING 71 watchers.

That coin is several hundred back of raw coins. Nothing terribly exciting there.

Question...did anyone get one in a larger box than normal? Most of the ones I saw were in boxes about 1 inch tall, but I saw one today in a box that was about a big lengthwise and width, but was about 3-4 inches tall.

Yep. They sent some loosely in an oversized box.

nobody selling these at black friday prices today? looks like about $1400, boxed or raw. also looks like a lot of the boxed ones have been tampered with to see what the coa looks like before re-sealing it. I'm not a buyer anyway at these prices. no budget for it. I'm just anxious to get my results back, for the one I was lucky enough to get on the first day, from our hosts. then the debate begins, hold or sell.

Jsatterlee you were close. I just use 4 space for our host since there are 4 letters.
3 spaces for NGC so as not to violate any rules should they apply. If I threw in a picture of a coin that was to help the post with staying with the rules of showing a coin on your posts. Silly I know. B) That’s all.

Also I noticed ALL 4 of the coins for sale on BST were sold with people asking $1350.00 looks like everything went well. BST serves a great cause a great place to buy and sell.

Was this the most a Mint coin ever appreciated in value? At $1,400 right now, this represents an almost 2,000% ROI! And it's still going up, insane.

Total speculation and FOMO. This level of irrational demand always ends badly.

dealers gotta fill them preorders. they can't risk ruining their reputation and cancelling those. Most of the ebay sales are to dealers.

Agree though, it makes prices boom short term.

There are many cancellations, not of mint orders, but of eBay orders. Even some dealer sell orders or expected deliveries will be cancelled. This is a frenzy now, that will die down soon.

never give up never give in (Tim Allen sci fi movie)... it's 4 am for me but it's worth it. one question I have still is "I have one in my bag still on the mint website" will the red line statement of "not available" disappear without doing anything but pushing the place order button or does the page have to be refreshed? or does anybody really know?

I also have one in my cart, since Sat 11/16, but I haven’t found that speeds up checkout. I’ve tried with both PayPal & cc, and if I refresh the checkout page with an “invalid item” in cart, all payment & address fields are zeroed out and have to be reselected from saved options. Repeatedly hitting place order @730am wouldn’t seem to do anything without refreshing & capturing a brief availability window. I don’t expect anyone to divulge the secret if there is one in this situation, these are just my observations.

The "Almost Had It" moments I have had where but repeatedly hitting refresh and seeing the Not Available sign go away. it is obvious it is now active and in your cart. Then the race is on to checkout and survive the "processing" demon, who seems to freeze my progress.

It can’t hurt to ask. I remember during the Apollo coins Or during that time frame, they let me encapsulate two of the coins into a single holder. But I remember they had just decided to Stop offering it the nice person at PCGS walked the order back and I was able to get it.
