Just got an e-mail a bit ago that my 30 day bulk, 17 card sub is done. Haven't looked at the grades yet. Logged on 12/28. Nothing special in this sub but still going to sneak up on the grades and will post shortly. This was my first sub in about 7 years so it was just a test to see if I knew what I was doing. Hoped for 13 10's on some new stuff but expect 9. Enough talk... time to check em out!

Was pretty close. Really crapped on the Jordan Players club and really missed something on the Tiant as I thought it would be an 8. All the other 9's I thought would be 10's. The 2012 Heritage commons I only subbed because I don't think there was anything higher than 8.5 for those in the pop report. Pleased with the grades overall and pretty excited about the 92 Upper Deck Jordan error!!

Sounds like a call is in order. My 30 day popped on day 34 so I can't imagine yours should be much longer. Of course I was calling weekly.

Last week Carlo told me that if my grades didn't pop by this Friday to call back and he would have my order expedited. Grades popped last night. I wasn't even calling about that order as it was only on day 30 of 30 at that point.

1 of 2 popped today. The two highlights were:1 28795099 MINT 9 1963 Parkhurst 55 Gordie Howe
1 28795111 MINT 9 1996 Upper Deck Black Diamond 160 Joe ThorntonThe Gordie Howe was an SGC 92 crack out that I knew could be a 9. The Thornton was a BGS 8.5 crack out that I wasn't sure would make a 9 but am happy it did.
Will report if my second sub, which is for reviews, also comes through today.

I feel like a kid at Christmas. My order was logged overnight.
105 cards sent via the bulk service. PSA received 1/23/18, logged 2/16/18. Now, the daily checking to see when grades pop even though it probably won't be until the end of April.

Daily checking? If you're like me it's probably more like "hourly checking." : )

If I do a bulk submission and want to have in hand for the Nat'l; when do you think I would need to send by? Soon, I am thinking. Any guesses?

Some are getting them logged and graded sooner than others. To be safe, I would allow a minimum of 3 months for loggage and grading. Guessing mid March just to be on the safe side. Downside is that you get them back earlier and you have to dust the slabs before you go!

Some rare low POP Johnny Bench items just popped for me. Exactly 10 business days so they were spot on as this was a 10 day turnaround. The Swedish Sportscaster Card is the highest graded. Pretty stoked with that one.

So I guess my bulk order they received 2/15 should be logged, graded, and returned in time for Memorial Day. It's pretty bad when you have to think in those terms now but that is where we are.

Think the slow turnaround times will begin to drive the interest of graded cards down? I know there will be always a market for the high end PSA 10's out there, but why wait 3-4 months for a card to be graded an 8 or 9? Especially with the younger generation who does not want to wait that long if they can buy ungraded.

IMO it's a matter of trust.... if you can trust that a card is real, if you can trust that the grade is said grade, etc. Also, companies like 4SC is always has a flow of inventory so it's not like the end consumer is actually waiting for grades to pop. It is also a matter of ego. There may be hard to get 8's and 9's of a particular series and with the set registry, you need that card to get to the top of the list. Cause as the great American Ricky Bobby once said, "If you ain't first, your last!".

It seems that PSA's order of processing is exactly no order of processing. Some folks can't even get logged in a month and others have orders popping within a month regardless of service level.

While I appreciate Joe's note at the top of the message board, it would seem some pricing adjustment would be in order for those who paid premium or above pricing levels. My bulk orders sit for lengthy time periods and I'm okay with that, I understand that is part of the deal when submitting. Perhaps things are happening behind the scenes but it would be nice if we knew that to be the case.
