Quarter and 3 pennies plus 56 cans. One of the pennies was a 1951 xf-au except it had to many road kill scratches on it.

Nice PPC.... we got about 3 or 4 inches of snow yesterday.... so no parking lot finds for a while... well, I wasn't finding anything anyway.... snow plow mounds, when they melt, usually produce some finds.. Cheers, RickO

Hey, guys, been missing from here for a while now. Got a lot going on, so not much time to post these days. I have looked at the CoinStar machines in my neck of the woods, but they've been dry for quite some time. Only find of note was a pack of those large, paper lawn leaf bags. I figure they probably fell off a truck as they were near the sidewalk next to a cut through street in my neighborhood. I salvaged them from a coming rain and put one bag to good use last week Better than nothing, I suppose.

It was 29 degrees and sunny but I wanted to get a little detecting in at the local football field. I set my timer for and hr and 15 minutes. When the sun left is was pretty cool. Found $1.74 in clad. The ground is dry. Most of the coins were in the 5-6 inch range. My screwdriver is a 6in one so I was pretty much at it's limits. Only one I couldn't locate. After my time was up I walked the parking lot and found 3 quarters, 3 dimes a nickel and 2 pennies plus 13 cans.

It's been on the cold side here. I've been walking with layers on and a mask. Lots of cans after New Years but no coins until Wed. Found my first penny. Today found 3 pennies and a WalMart gift card with $4.24 on it. Good as cash

It certainly is a cold snap... zero degrees here this morning (had a couple of mornings at two below)... at least that incredible wind has stopped...
I have never found a 'gift card'..... and, by the way...have found nothing this week at all. Cheers, RickO

@ricko Last Christmas, 2016, I did find a $100 gift card, AMEX as I remember it, in the gift envelope, stuck in some grass to the side of the mall parking lot.

Usually I find them with anywhere from small change balances to about $10 left on the card.

I usually average one a year, but this year was a bust. I found gift cards, but they were all zero's.

The Count for 2017 is 76 quarters, 100 dimes, 75 nickels and 407 pennies. 7 dollar bills, 1 5 dollar bill and 2 20 dollar bills for a grand total of $88.82.

i don't understand why everyone doesn't use a wallet. the majority of money I've found is when people pull out their car keys and the greenbacks fall on the parking lot pavement, that's what I think happens anyway, as the money is usually crumpled
