So I have been running outdoors for 18 years all year round in southeastern Pa. I see coins along the way. I always pick up nails and screws and drop them in a ditch or away from vehicle tires. Have found lots of sockets, some tools. Peace Roy
Found this on my afternoon walk. Early at the self check out at Walmart found a quarter dime nickel and four pennies. And my wife wonders why I like to use that checkout

Nice find... and I did not think of that option at the self check out.... I did find a dime in the regular checkout aisle....Cheers, RickO
Certainly more action in the self checkout coin trays at Walmart compared to the Coinstar tray. However chance for silver is greatly diminished. I'm pretty sure the "self checkout assistant" is on to things. She seems to work 7 days a week and I always see her scanning the change trays. Probably earning more from the change tray then she does on the ole Walmart salary. Good for her, I hope so.
I checked around local parking meters and in parking lots where they stack the plowed snow... nothing, though I found a 1929S cent on the market floor. Cheers, RickO
Yesterday afternoon I found $2.13 in the coinstar reject bin. One British Penny, three zincolns, six Rosies and six quarters....ONE SILVER 1954 D.... Yeaaayyyy..... Finally broke the drought... Cheers, RickO
thanks. they said if no one shows up in 2 weeks its mine. will help since i don't get alot from my med pension. course hoping the owner comes for it too..
That's a good deal for you and no one can say that you didn't try. Reminds me of a time that I located the owner of a Senior ring through a school. They gave me the parents phone number. Called and got a recorded message that gave their names. Gave them my contact info and never heard from them.
Got the oil changed and walked while waiting. Quarter, nickel and 2 pennies. stopped by Walmart and checked the Coinstar on the way in. Nickel and 7 pennies
A quarter and 2 nickels in the HS parking lot and $1.33 in change detecting on the practice football field. The picture of the Zincoln above looks like a roadkill that got in a road crack and got ran over and broke.
Yep. Sideline and on the small hillside where fans watch. When the grass is brown in the winter months I like to walk the yard lines. The bands practice on them. However this was not a good winter for me do do that
nothing for the last few days.. got hit by the storm that came through ontario. we got snow, freezing rain and a black out, powers on but got 3 inches slush on the streets and parking lots so i cant find any change.. guess ill have to wait till weather gets better
Found a dime, 4 pennies and 51 cans on the morning walk. Later stopped by the bank and checked the counting machine reject tray. 2 quarters, 2 nickels, a penny and a Toys for Tots tokesn
@pocketpiececommems ...Nice finds....and thanks for the can breakdown... I am surprised it is mostly beer cans... is there a saloon/pub in that shopping complex? I have seen the occasional pop can in the parking lot at the mall...never have seen a beer can. Cheers, RickO
Wow... 72 cans and 53 the day before..... I do not know what the return on cans is from the recycle machine... but you certainly seem to have a source of income there....I assume you carry a large plastic bag with you each day....Cheers, RickO
