Took the grandson to weight training last Monday and walked the HS parking lot a bit while waiting. 2 quarters, 2 dimes and one penny. A nickel at the gas station today.
Found a dime in the parking lot of the Dollar store yesterday. Later we went to the ball game. In the ninth inning had to get something for the wife. We were the only ones left in our section. When I got back it looked like some bills under the seat behind us. I was reaching for it and the wife wonder what the heck I was doing. A twenty, a five and 3 ones. She didn't say anything after that. 3 dimes and 2 pennies in the Walmart parking lot today.

@pocketpiececommems... Wow... that was a good day.... I found a folded $20 bill on the floor of the checkout lane the other day... However, I was pretty sure the guy ahead had dropped it... I ran and caught him just leaving... He was very grateful.... said "Nobody ever does this."... I said, "Well, I was sure you dropped it, so of course I would give it to you.".... Now, If I found it out in the parking lot with no one around, then it is a keeper. Cheers, RickO
The flowers are Water Lilies. We haven't had much rain and the Lake is down about 4 ft or more. This morning on a 40 minute road walk I found a penny and a Smith&Wesson black Ops knife
This was found in a parking lot at my town recycling center better known here as the "Dump", in the swap shop area. It was sitting on the ground in a box by a table where people put stuff.
Nothing "old or silver" but I ran it through the free coin-sorter at my credit union and it was over $50. I did have to hose them down a bit! I've posted a few of my finds from our swap shop here before but this one was one of the oddest.
@MaineJim....Wow... now that is a find.... One wonders why it was placed there....seems as if someone was clearing out a garage (or attic/basement), did not even look in the box...Congratulations on a neat find... Cheers, RickO
Another odd find in the "Dump" parking lot was a box of old kids books, vintage new years noisemakers and rattling around in the bottom of the box a bunch of Indian Head cents. There was also one of those coin cards from the 1930's for collecting Indian Head cents. It was a mostly full set minus the 64L, 72, 77, 08s & 09s and a few others but a great starter set to begin with. All were obviously pulled from circulation. I had no idea they were in there but when my wife was looking at the books she said "hey there are some pennies in here". It was pretty funny at the time and I still have them. Unfortunately I didn't realize I should keep the coin card as it was pretty beat up and I just tossed that away...
It is a bit addictive - today I got a couple turntables. Nothing high-end but useful and another of my hobbies is collecting vinyl lps so they were a nice find.

I lived in Belgium from 1966 through 1969. I lived in Waterloo. Just outside of Brussels. I spent four years there and learned to speak French pretty well. It was a wonderful place to live in those years.
Two days ago, I found $1.08 in my favorite Coinstar. No silvers this time. I'll get em next time
@ricko....I will be in Washington State for about three weeks right after Labor Day. Several good places to detect. I'll post anything I might find. MDH
@metaldetectinghound...Good luck in Washington State....Where will you be located? If in Seattle, there are no good, safe places to MD...I lived there for 20 years, left ten years ago... now it is a homeless haven, filled with waste, garbage, crime and pan handlers. Cheers, RickO
@ricko... Thanks for your comment. I will actually be on the Eastern side of Washington State. I will probably detect in
Coeur d'Alene, Idaho also. I have detected there several times in the past and have done quite well. Mostly clad, but I did find one .925 silver ring that was quite nice. I will never go to Seattle. Far too many people and I wouldn't feel safe detecting there. Regards, MDH
Yesterday in a Wal-Mart parking lot I found a $5.00 bill.................then a second one just five feet away! I gave one to my 17 year old son who is trying to find an after school job.

nice PPC! coins seem to always jump out at you, as well as cans
Your can collecting seems to be more profitable than the coins... though a tad more labor intensive...Cheers, RickO
