That would look so great with a vintage hole in it, then, maybe a lesser number of collectors drooling over it. But, alas, no such luck for me. It is a beautiful coin, I drool and fantasize.

Mark - I have lots of barbers and some early type, but only a handful of seated halves and currently, no other seated coinage in my collection. I'm fortunate to be able to view the wonderful seated collections of friends.

It might be V7 LDS, because V7 is described (in Breen and Blythe) as having the V5 obverse with a reverse that has no die cracks. (Compare with V5 reverse cracks at ED to wreath).
However, your reverse does not have H joined to leaf as described by Breen.
And your reverse has several other die cracks:- T2 left top wreath, right top wreath
- top of TES (like V2 and V6)
- A2 to wreath
- R in 2 places to wreath
- left ribbon
And the clash between ME.

Here is the half dime to go with it.
Ex Simpson, the nicest he could obtain until the Gardner example became available. Now mine(this coin) is not as high a technical grade, but will put the eye-appeal against most any.

Jim - What a great looking key. Very glad to see you here on the seated thread.
Mark - This is a hard one to call without seeing the coin in hand, Things that MIGHT be an issue like color and surface quality could easily be misjudged in pictures.

I picked up a 1887-S 10C F-119 MPD (unattributed) a couple weeks ago and thought that I would share;
According to Fortin: Comments: Obverse 18 can be easily diagnosed by an extra 1 digit punch in the shield. The flag of a 1 digit is clearly visible between shield lines #8 and #9.
