Turnaround times

I've been silently watching everyone's anxiety over slow times... My submission was logged in 16 May. World Economy. While checking for grades earlier, I was gratified to finally have my grades posted! I dunno, something over 78-9 days? But, I have to say I AM ONE SUPER HAPPY CAMPER! Of course, we all feel our raw submissions will do good and typically, I am disappointed. Not this time! 10 of 12 coins certified MS66. THANKS PCGS!

Wow, just checked the PCGS estimates/statistics for turnaround time. WAY, WAY longer than the times printed on the submission forms!

So "express" is 40% later than estimated on the submission forms; regular is about DOUBLE the estimated times printed on the forms; and economy is 50% longer to more than double the time longer than the time printed on the submission forms.



I'm sure people who are waiting double the time printed on the forms are receiving some sort of email of explanation from PCGS, since that would be the right thing to do.

I read the OP and answer it: What's going on at PCGS these days besides a lot of business? Turnaround times for Economy are painfully slow! Still waiting on results from an order rec'd in Mid May. Anyone waiting longer than May 17th? Two months is a bit long imho.

Makes you think they lost your coins don't it? I keep checking thinkin "ok, there's no way it's gonna take longer than this" but what do I see? In process, in process, in process. That's all I ever freakin see. I feel bad about your June 15 submission, that's just horrible.

I received grades on a 7/12 economy submission, so that was good. Still waiting on some others. Grades were accurate IMO, even if a bit conservative. On the other hand, my NGC Ancients submission is currently 16 days behind the 21 day (reduced 2 weeks ago from 37 days) projected turnaround time.

Today makes 31 working days for 2 regular submissions, but who is counting!

Three weeks today since they told me my june 15 econ would be ready, still nothing.

As others have said, Modern submissions clicking along. Mine was posted 20 days ( not business days) recently. Their estimate was 20 business days.

One Regular order logged in on 7/5 -- 48 business days later, still zero progress, with none of the 10 coins even identified as U.S. material.

Customer service told me last week that having staff at Long Beach would push everything back for grading in the office.

I lost my patience today and called to have my coins sent back to me (just a reholder because of incorrect label). I also requested that my membership fee be refunded as well. I'm so done with PCGS it's not even funny.

Called again today, its still processing, but may be light at end of the tunnel (end of week) over 70 business days as of today

Aw guys just be patient.

Smart thing for PCGS to do .. explain delay ...offer some sort of discount/free coupons ,, what ever ....for overdue submissions

Well Wabbit you're doing better than I am. They received my order Friday morning and they have not been logged in yet. I also have reservations about submitting at this time as I was roasted last time as well. If I don't agree with the grades this time around I'll take a break from submitting for a while.

I'm pushing 25 days on my regular here, estimate is 20 according to statistics page. An NGC early bird order on the 6-7th day finished today. I heard the mint proofs, etc. started arriving late last week early this week, so that should slow them all down.

I noted the "express" level has ballooned to 9 days. That's almost double what is touted on the submission form

Regular now at twenty days means that my two regular submissions going on 34 days should be waiting for me in my PO Box.

Must have been a typo on 20 days because they are still IN PROCESS!

Honestly I get much better service from NGC , unfortunately Pcgs coins bring more money for me during resale. Cant live with them , cant live without them

My 5 coin regular finished up, a few days over a month calendar days. The coins would have fit into economy criteria but I dared not with the delays there. No surprises on grades, or profit-making results.

My modern submission results received were also very conservative in my estimation.
