In terms of the centering, that's just my OCD kicking in. The lines on the label are not perfectly centered with one another. Not a big deal and probably shouldn't have mentioned it.
I've been silently watching everyone's anxiety over slow times... My submission was logged in 16 May. World Economy. While checking for grades earlier, I was gratified to finally have my grades posted! I dunno, something over 78-9 days? But, I have to say I AM ONE SUPER HAPPY CAMPER! Of course, we all feel our raw submissions will do good and typically, I am disappointed. Not this time! 10 of 12 coins certified MS66. THANKS PCGS!
Wow, just checked the PCGS estimates/statistics for turnaround time. WAY, WAY longer than the times printed on the submission forms!
Estimated Turnaround Times from PCGS Statistics page:
Standard & Secure U.S.
Express 7
Regular 29
Economy 45
And what do the PCGS submission forms estimate? See below:
Express 5
Regular 15
Economy 20-30
So "express" is 40% later than estimated on the submission forms; regular is about DOUBLE the estimated times printed on the forms; and economy is 50% longer to more than double the time longer than the time printed on the submission forms.
I'm sure people who are waiting double the time printed on the forms are receiving some sort of email of explanation from PCGS, since that would be the right thing to do.

why would I read hundreds of posts?
I read the OP and answer it: What's going on at PCGS these days besides a lot of business? Turnaround times for Economy are painfully slow! Still waiting on results from an order rec'd in Mid May. Anyone waiting longer than May 17th? Two months is a bit long imho.

July 7 econ posted today, (wasn't expecting it) because :
June 15 econ still nothing. Called again today, said nothings wrong, its still waiting in the wings, CS said they take several out of order at times.

Makes you think they lost your coins don't it? I keep checking thinkin "ok, there's no way it's gonna take longer than this" but what do I see? In process, in process, in process. That's all I ever freakin see. I feel bad about your June 15 submission, that's just horrible.
I had another U.S. Modern tier submission get graded in about 3 weeks. PCGS is doing fine with the Moderns. My Economy and Regular submissions are in a log jam, though.
I have existed since the creation of this world and will exist until its end. Only my form will change. For these 80 human life years, I have the benefit of having a functioning body and consciousness. I will not waste this opportunity.
I received grades on a 7/12 economy submission, so that was good. Still waiting on some others. Grades were accurate IMO, even if a bit conservative. On the other hand, my NGC Ancients submission is currently 16 days behind the 21 day (reduced 2 weeks ago from 37 days) projected turnaround time.
Not a question to deliberately stir the pot, but I'm curious from the other dealers in this thread, with 50 day turnaround time on economy are you giving serious consideration to going with NGC?
I'm on the ledge with that right now. If I send an eco lot in today it won't be done until Thanksgiving... meanwhile NGC would do it in significantly less time.
Or does the situation work itself out and we just need to stay the course? I'm just not sure what to do right now. It would be nice if we could get another update / glimmer of hope from PCGS as to what is going on.
Sent in an express for 3 coins. Should arrive at PCGS by Saturday. I'm going on vacation next week, so I'm not expecting anything in terms of progress until the week after. Hopefully it will be 7-8 days as promised. #fingerscrossed
GSAs, OBW rolls, Seated, Walkers. Anything old and Colorado-focused, CO nationals.
Finally had a Regular finish up. Logged 7/25, shipped 9/8.

I lost my patience today and called to have my coins sent back to me (just a reholder because of incorrect label). I also requested that my membership fee be refunded as well. I'm so done with PCGS it's not even funny.

I also am not renewing my membership. I dont need the hassle or frustration. Maybe someday they will get their act back together.

Regular service is now listed at 20 days, economy at 40. I had to send some Redfields to NGC and also sent some other coins at their regular service (EarlyBird) level. It will be interesting to see how long it takes and how the grades compare after getting roasted lately. They were logged in today.
Well Wabbit you're doing better than I am. They received my order Friday morning and they have not been logged in yet. I also have reservations about submitting at this time as I was roasted last time as well. If I don't agree with the grades this time around I'll take a break from submitting for a while.

NGC coins were logged in today. They received the order yesterday.
I'm pushing 25 days on my regular here, estimate is 20 according to statistics page. An NGC early bird order on the 6-7th day finished today. I heard the mint proofs, etc. started arriving late last week early this week, so that should slow them all down.

sweet, so my regular at 21 days should be done soon!
I noted the "express" level has ballooned to 9 days. That's almost double what is touted on the submission form
NGC logged my Economy Submission in on August 4th. There was a coin they alerted me to that needed conservation, which I approved. The entire 7 coin submission is on it's way back home.
Meantime, PCGS has my other submission being held hostage in a warehouse somewhere in a secret location near near Long Beach. I expect to get that one back sometime between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Depending on the grades received compared to my expectations, and whether they ever get their act together, we'll see if there's room for future transactions. Right now there's no reason for them to be hopeful.
If you do what you always did, you get what you always got.
Honestly I get much better service from NGC , unfortunately Pcgs coins bring more money for me during resale. Cant live with them , cant live without them

This is exactly what I have run into. The customer service at NGC is top notch. But the market value is higher on PCGS coins. Tough situation as a dealer. I crossed my fingers and sent my last eco box to PCGS. Hoping this situation is going to resolve itself at some point.

at this point, PCGS is well into their "slow" season. Vacation time over, show schedule is slower. Turnaround time should work themselves lower over the next few weeks. Expect a price increase in January and another crush of submissions. In short, the next few weeks may be the best turnaround times you will see for a while as hard as that is to grasp.
Business day 50 on a 10-coin regular submission here, and the status page is still the same as when it was first logged in. (This one was submitted in person at the June PCGS Members' Show, two weeks before the Public Friday which promised coins would be graded and delivered at the ANA Show in early August.)
My 5 coin regular finished up, a few days over a month calendar days. The coins would have fit into economy criteria but I dared not with the delays there. No surprises on grades, or profit-making results.
I had 2 more orders post. Grades were iffy. What I have been noticing is that coins have been graded with problems more than normal. Mainly cleaned even though the ones marked as such came right out of Rattlers. They are not cleaned. This would be a rookie mistake on certain coins, if they in fact did hire that many newbies.

new graders to PCGS does not mean new graders to grading. They could have been poached. They could have been enticed out of retirement. It could be a combo of new and other possibilities.

My modern submission results received were also very conservative in my estimation.
I hadn't got that econ 71 business day submission back in hand yet, but when I do, I ll post my opinion as to grades I recived. its been so darn long, I literally forgot what they looked like when they left.

This sums it up at PCGS. Makes me not want to collect anything anymore. 2 months for this. It's not even centered right!! lol Complete joke.

Copy and paste. Forgot how to post pics.
So I send it back to PCGS just for a correct label and reholder. Going on day 40 and nothing. By Bye PCGS for good!!
excuse my ignorance, what is wrong with the pictured coin?
WoW !!
I was referring to the centering
Overall, I'm satisfied.

Gonna get me a $50 Octagonal someday. Some. Day.
61 business days
Customer service told me last week that having staff at Long Beach would push everything back for grading in the office.
One Regular order logged in on 7/5 -- 48 business days later, still zero progress, with none of the 10 coins even identified as U.S. material.

I guess I won't feel terrible that my regular is five days late (compared to the grading submission form that says fifteen days).
