Tough to take anything away from a nearly double digit victory.

I think 3 records broken yesterday, score to par, lowest 72-hole total, most birdies in a tournament: https://www.pga.com/news/lpga-tour/sei-young-kim-shoots-31-under-shatters-lpga-scoring-records-in-win

Nope, no cards yet, I've been keeping an eye out for a while. I have a feeling she'll have one in the next couple months.

a radical reorganization of the tour sched

i love The Players in march and the PGA Championship in may. gives us quasi-major, major, major, major, major for 5 consecutive months.

but i am not in love with the Houston Open not only losing its covetable spot prior to the Masters, but it doesn't even make an appearance again until 19-20 when it's moved to the not-so-covetable fall. crapola fields here we come.

i may have to go to the waste management next year and get wasted

It's a good place for that, as long as you're not driving. You'll need to get there early on Saturday, some of the beer carts were sold out by 9am. It's not as easy to get autos there though, just too crowded.

No doubt about it (not that there was much to begin with), Dustin Johnson is a HOFer. He's now won 11 of the last 44 tournaments he's entered, enough to get his win percentage mentioned behind the likes of Tiger and Jack, not to mention he's already climbed up to 5th most weeks at #1 in the world.

if there was any doubt about Phil not caring what anyone thinks, that little display should put any uncertainty to rest

btw he and mr. tiger are going to get it on for 10 mil in Nov

JMHO - Dustin needs to win a few more majors before he can be mentioned in the same conversation with Tiger and Jack.

Golf is an erratic game that does not lend itself well a two man event.

Ad decade ago I bowled frequently with an anemic 150 average (probably more like 145). Challenged a young bowler that had a 212 average to a game. My first four frames were strikes but I couldn't get a mark beyond that, He had trouble on the different lane and stumbled to a game in the low 140's. I bet him by a couple pins.

Nothing was proven except my luck and timing were good. Next game he rolled a 227. Fortunately I didn't give him a rematch. ;)

I almost crapped my pants when I saw +23 leading the Barracuda Championship, Stableford scoring always throws me for a loop.

query for the inhabitants of this thread...

who are your five fav golfers of all time?

and if you'd like to briefly explain away your selections, even better.

    1. Annika Sorenstam- got her auto at a women's Open Championship.
    2. Jessica Korda- Very beautiful.
    3. Nelly Korda- Looks just like her sister.
    4. Lexi Thompson- America's sweetheart, as far as golfing is concerned.
    5. Brooke Henderson- Amazing talent.

The men just seem too, I don't know, conceited. Nicklaus talks about every shot of his
major wins like they were the most important thing in the history of the world.
Tiger is just..................Tiger. Mickelson pretends to be a nice, humble guy but I've heard
he can be flat out mean to his fans.
The women just seem more humble and well, just very nice as a whole compared to the men.

Woody is 9 back of Ian Poulter on moving day.

Mediocre is now acceptable in Tigerland.

I'm personally looking forward to watching him in the Ryder Cup. His 6th place finish in the British Open has him headed in the right direction as long as his health holds up

that's correct. attempts to ruffle my feathers with tiresome Tiger bashing will prove fruitless because a) i'm far too smart to fall for it 75 times in a row, and b) presently i am, ahem, busy.

Freee falling. Plus 3 for Sunday, even for the tournament.

Wonder if the back is an issue?

Too many guys ready for a breakout and/or near the top of their game to pick just one, hard to bet against JT or DJ right now.

Woods could have learned a few things from Jarrod Lyle.

Tiger fighting to get back to par at plus one. Phil and Finau should call up their cars.

Tiger got it back to even for the day.

Impressive back nine move by Woods (or I guess it was really the front nine). Tied for 29th and 50th.

Tiger 9 back (Kisner) before he tees up R2.

Bad start today and he is toast.

  • CoinstartledCoinstartled Posts: 10,135 ✭✭✭✭✭

Bubba Watson is (ahem) thirteen off the lead. :(

  • LarkinCollectorLarkinCollector Posts: 8,975 ✭✭✭✭✭

R2 suspended while Tiger was on a hot start, -3 through 7, and Fowler was on the move, -2 through 10.

DJ & Spieth both finished -4

  • fergie23fergie23 Posts: 2,130 ✭✭✭✭

Yeah the delay can not help Tiger and his back. Looked like he had a 64-65 round going before the round was halted for weather.

    No more play today.

Tiger at least has excuse in the bag now. ;)
