If you want to talk 'HIgh Rollers' talk to me.
I have submitted this card 4 times and EACH time it comes back with a disqualifier.
Is it the tilted back ?
Or the front with the completely mint gum slab stuck sooooo bad to it a Calloway wedge could not remove it. The gum slab is MINT.
Will keep sending it in in hopes of a bump from THIS !!! to at least a threeve.
81 Donruss could be a 81 Donruss Jumbo Test and the grader couldn't fit it in a regular holder.
PSA currently has no holder that would fit the gum and the card at the same time.
Additionally, you forgot to check the box to grade the card and grade the gum. DUAL GUM GRADING.
By the looks of it he didn't reveal the grade? I am assuming he is in talks with Joe O to review and either Joe is out of the office or just too busy to look at it? BTW the PWCC Munson? Can they figure out a better way to secure the card then that mylar sleeve?
I'm guessing the card received an minimum size requirement grade and was not holdered. Therefore, the submitter wants to try to send it back it to PSA to try again. However, he doesn't want to post that strategy here; otherwise, PSA may start looking out for the card again to give it the same grade.

He responded and didn't give an update on the Munson. I am sorry but IMHO it's inconsiderate to not at least throw us a partial bone

I believe he had posted there was no min grade requested.

Bold prediction. It gets into an SGC 96 holder. OP sells it. Buyer tries to cross it (with a different SGC serial number) and PSA crosses it to a 9. It is a beautiful card and is the exact same card regardless of holder or grade.
I called SGC today wanting to know why the Munson had not popped since I paid for Next Day service (2 business days) and the card was logged February 3rd. I was told it is their policy for a second grader to grade it before a final grade is determined when a card of this stature comes through their office...and unfortunately the second grader is on vacation this week. So....next week hopefully i will know how it regrades.

Did PSA holder the card the first time around?

I think it was minsize and so he had them slab it authentic. Easier to send to SGC this way. (this is a guess based on what we know)
I successfully cracked out 3 walnuts yesterday afternoon. They will not be going to PSA as they wound up being sprinkled atop a wonderful arugula salad with beets for dinner.
How did the other two grade out? Sorry to hear about the Munson. After a few much less costly mistakes I experienced in the past, I'm very careful to ensure the card isn't undersized at all before I crack it out. It's very common for '71s to be undersized.

Maybe it got an 11. That might take a little longer to write up.

The Munson did not make the grade at PSA...so I sent it back to SGC to be regraded and now am awaiting the results.
It's a risky business. I've had it go both ways. Good luck & great thread!
Well that's not ambiguous at all.
Didn't make what grade? 9? 10? Other?

best thread ever!
Certainly a misleading title!
Min size? Thanks for posting. I am living vicariously through you in this high stakes poker. I have yet to crack a card out for any reason.
Let's hope it was "from vending"......
(Insert Law and Order "chung chung")
I'm sorry to hear that. Beautiful card regardless. What grade did it receive from PSA?

Now that is simply hilarious!!
What are the chances that an sgc grader has read this thread?
One authentic popped in the last two days..

The aversion to answering a simple question is just getting stupid. I'm done with this thread.
I believe SGC graders do frequent this message board
They might as well. Nothing on their message board to see.

It was not minimum size...
EOT?
Sheet cut?
Evidence of recoloring?
Ovaltine?
You don't need to answer. If it wasn't Min Siz, then it is clearly not good. Of course, PSA is wrong about these things from time to time.
Dayyyyyum!
Then what was the grade ?

It did not cross to a 9...left unholdered.

BVG-9 '63 Maris crossed to an 8.5
SGC-96 '67 Rose crossed to a 9
The Munson was not short in either direction...
