One day PCGS WILL grade his tokens and medals. It will probably take one of you to catalogue them in a book and bring this to their attention.
As an aside, there are plenty of tokens struck by famous 19th Century die sinkers that are still not recognized by PCGS. It takes time. How many years running did PCGS refuse to slab Civil War Tokens, while NGC had the market to themselves?

Anacs has started giving overstikes 70 as of lately. Not sure why they chaged their mind, but now all the old 69's look like they must have a flaw even if they don't.

I’m guessing the information posted on this thread and an increasing number of pieces slabbed by ICG for them to change their mind. Competition is a good thing.
Thanks @Zoins. Pardon my ignorance, but these come with a silver plug -- sometimes or not? And not available? How does one get?

Not sure how to get one. Hopefully someone will let us know, like the 2005 ASEs.
Both the "1792" Silver Center Chain tokens and the "1985" Weinman Silver Eagle over-strikes are produced on contract (commission). Mintages will likely be moderate, but sufficient. All the "1792" Chain tokens have a silver plug (at least, so far). I'm not sure what the disposition of these particular items will be, but I would assume some will eventually make their way to eBay and other outlets.
I really like the 2019 $100 Union. Its the first of the Winged Liberty designs I picked up for my collection. I was lucky to get 4 of the 100 mintage. I wish I had bought more than one of the 3oz Merlin March 2019 Bar.

This is one of the most IGNORANT posts I have read on CU since joining. Additionally, IMO is really pushing the posting rules of this forum.
Presently, I grade/authenticate at ICG. I'm only one of the graders and fortunately for ICG, I'm NOT the finalizer. Since 1986, I have written/taught that there are examples of over-graded, under-graded, and CORRECTLY GRADED (the majority at the time they were graded) coins in slabs from all the major services.
I will put my assigned grade in the computer (sometimes not the same as the final grade on the label) against anyone in the country as far as the coin's actual condition of preservation. On many occasions, this is not the same as the coin's commercial grade! In those cases, I grade the coin commercially and put "my grade" in the comments that can only be seen by the finalizer.
We received the coins in this post Thursday or Friday of last week. Today is Monday and they just left my desk. They are scheduled to go out on 5/12 (Sunday) so I expect they will be shipped before Friday of this week. The slowdown is because we had to make special labels.
As for the grades: I graded most of the coins MS-70 while examining them using my eye, and then a stereo microscope at 7X! I could not find anything (hairlines, spots, nicks, etc) on the coins that I sent to the next grader as MS-70 in my professional opinion. I personally do not like the 70 grade and look for ANY REASON to drop the grade to a 69 on any coin to protect future buyers!
Some may argue that an overstrike can never be a perfect coin because much of the time there is evidence of the under coin that leaves a mark on the "new" coin. They don't work for this company.
Finally, these Astronaut Concepts ($, 50c, 25c) look just like a coin that could be issued from the US Mint. I'd recommend that you all buy a few while you can!
Hopefully, you will strike some flat, thick silver chunks similar to this with the image of a coin or your Mint and then punch in the "info." Lot of extra work but a very neat product and "store of silver" that IMO will sell. Decades from now when we are all dead....$$$$
PS What about some imitations of the 1P and 4P Saudi Discs in silver too!!! PLEASE

I feel honored to make such an impression. We are talking about over struck coins, which are in essence, tokens, just as ANACS describes them.
They are not coins anymore, which is what keeps DC out of the SS's sights. If they were coins, then NGC and PCGS would authenticate and grade them. That may happen in the future when they decide that they would like to increase their revenue stream, but not currently.
So, they can be graded anyway anyone wants to grade them. Why not try out the 1-100 grading standard on them. Grade them MS95.

Look up the definition of "LIBEL" and let us read more about how "honored" you are. As for "impressions," if I were to post IGNORANT NONSENSE, I sincerely hope someone comes down very hard on me! BTW, Just because the Carr Issues are "tokens" does not mean that they cannot be graded, collected, and bring strong prices. Perhaps you are unaware that not everything he makes is an overstrike.
As for NGC and PCGS...In my experience over the past 50 years, they are slow to adopt to customer needs. For example, when I joined NGC in 1998, they did not grade tokens and only did an EXTREMELY limited amount of varieties. I begged them to expand as ANACS, INSAB, and PCI did EVERYTHING (ANACS since 1971!). PCI even slabbed milk bottle caps!
If a company claims to be the #1 TPGS they BETTER PROVE IT! There was a time the big two wouldn't touch a problem coin and kept your money! They had to be dragged kicking and screaming into that market. I can go on and on with examples PLUS many of the reasons the big two proceed slowly into new territory: Basically, if you do it - hire experts, build a library, and make sure you do it right!
Hopefully, in the future Mr. Carr's work will be slabbed by ALL the grading companies. IMO, they should also slab counterfeits for educational purposes. That would advance numismatics much faster than all the pretty slab labels. And news flash just for you, that will not hurt our bottom line at all!

I've done some 3-oz and 5-oz bars that are approaching that style:
The Saudi discs are interesting (I've studied genuine and replica examples).
Not sure I would do any of those - I have a lot of fantasy-date over-strike coins that I'd want to do first.
Pardon my ignorance. Those bars are exactly what I wanted. Guess they are on the secondary market. I'll bet they are going to have a nice place in Numismatic history one day. I expect an author down the road will write about you, your Mint and production. Hope you have some kind of journal they can use for accuracy.

Thanks for the kind words Chief.
Hi Jules! The box was a lucky find. I found it at an estate sale for $10. I thought it would be perfect for the 2X2 flips that Dan Carr’s come with. Turns out that slabs fit perfectly in it as well.
It’s made by the Bombay Company and it is used as a tea chest. I’ve included pics of the same box as mine that is currently on eBay (not my auction). It’s made very well and each compartment is the exact same size. I currently have approximately 35 Carr’s in the box and there is enough room for triple that amount. If you were to do all slabbed coins, it would hold 60 slabs (5 per compartment).

Just received a 1919 Peace Dollar and an Apollo Astronaut Doller struck on a 40% Ike Dollar from Dan today in the mail. Them relief on the Peace Dollar is impressive but the relief on the Apollo Dollar is quite impressive as well!! Once again I am very happy with the quality of Dan's overstrikes.
I'm wondering about those Bombay Co. tea cases and if the wood in them will render some nice toners over time. They do make a nice display.
As a Large Cent collector, I hope that the silver center chain cent token is made available reasonably. If anyone gets wind of these being offered, please post it here.
For anyone who hasn't sampled them yet, the quality on these recent offerings is quite excellent.

There's an Early Bird Registration ($50), which allows you access today May 8th 1 - 7 pm. So, you missed that option.
The Early Bird Registration also allows you to enter at 8 am May 9 - 11. That's 2 hours before the general public.
Is it worth $50? I've never done it, so no idea.

Guessing the PL Unions will be similarly minted -- 100? Hope there's some left after the expo.
supposed to have a "somewhat higher" mintage.
Thanks Bob, I was at a mega flea market last week and did find some display boxes that were cheaply constructed and only would hold 2x2's.won't work for my stuff. I'll track these down. If found I'll post them here.

I knew it would happen.
@jmski52 that’s a good question. The box does have faint remnant odors of Earl Gray.

Those trace organic residues can work wonders, I suspect.
