Here’s a fun one from Dan. Love this one,( I got so much of Dan’s work that I never want sell).
This is a 1908s Lincoln cent , one of only six that were antiqued, out of 14 that he used bronze cent blanks‼️
I consider myself very lucky 🍀 to get this one ‼️
Dan’s the man‼️👍🎯‼️‼️
The 6 antiqued are from a group of 14 struck on blanks, ones not struck on struck cents.
Looking at your coa it states it's overstruck on struck cent. So my guess is yours is from group of 226 made so far
I’m betting if you were to ask Dan, he’d tell you it is one of the six‼️
He probably didn’t make new certificates for those 6‼️
He did sign it and wrote ANTIQUED ‼️👍

If you look at it under magnification , does it have "ghosting" of host coin artifacts?

I’m thinking you’re right, as I magnified it, it appears to have ghosting around his tie, chin, and right of the his profile. I had some that were circulated ( not antiqued), and they had this same kind of ghosting ‼️
Not happy, I paid more for it, thinking it was going to be one of the 6 blank struck antiqued ones.
See what I get for thinking ‼️
The lighter picture is the bulk handled circulated.
Darker picture is the antiqued one.😱
Does anyone know who commissioned this one, and if they have it for sale? I looked on CCN, which tends to have a number of Dan's commissioned works, but it is not there.
.
.
I'm loving the obverse/reverse combination for the 1776-2026 semiquincentennial.

The entity that commissions me to make a significant number of different things apparently has a deal with CCN. I have never dealt directly with CCN. Several of the commissioned items have never shown up on CCN and I don't know what happened to them. At some point I might potentially offer this product on my own site. But if that happens it would not be for a number of months yet.
I saw on the Seated Liberty o/s pieces that there is a new die pair on the 1837-O.
It is DP 1B with 7 made. It has a deeper engraving of the date and mint mark.
Mintage updates show new #s on all 4 pieces.
I filled four "needed pieces" in my Dan Carr / moonlight mint collections earlier this week (three coming from @ZoidMeister - thank you!), and then this - awesome!

My envelope from Moonlight Mint might be here on Saturday. However, I received this this one today - filling an important spot in my Danial Carr Eisenhower Dollar fantasy date collection: CuNi host Ike (looks like possible 73 or 78), Die Pair 1
.
This one joins the a) 1975 die pair 1 o/s on 40% silver Ike, b) 1975 die pair 5 o/s on CuNi 76 Ike, c) 1975 die pair 5 o/s on 76S 40% silver Ike (mislabeled on the holder), d) 1970 die pair 4 o/s on CuNi Ike, and e) 1970 die pair 4 o/s on 40% silver Ike.
.
.
Wish list:
1975 die pair 2&3 (75-D and 75-S) 1979 die pair 6 (pleeeease?)

Not quite. Still not part of the collection:
Die pair 2 - 1975-D (mintage = 87)
Die pair 3 - 1975-S (mintage = 103)
The matte finished die pair 4 in CuNi (mintage = 5) and 40% silver (mintage = 13)

I am interested in adding the die pair 2 and 3 pieces, but not the matte finishes.

My pleasure. To be clear, the Ike addition was an eBay purchase.

(and..it also looks like I may get a delivery from Loveland, CO today )

Also, 2018 was the 200th anniversary of the first St-George-and-the-Dragon British silver coin. And after an extensive search, I could find no British silver coins that used the "Broken Spear" design -- just a commemorative British gold coin in 2017.

Ah! Yes, you're right: It looks like the 1817-1820 British Sovereign (gold coin) has the original broken spear design. Maybe other Sovereigns too?
For 2018 I expected the Royal Mint would produce a 200th anniversary broken sword commemorative Crown (silver coin). But that didn't happen.
Bottom Line: I think the 2018 KOTCT Medals are a nice tribute to the broken sword design -- especially the silver Medals, given the 200th anniversary backstory and no broken sword Crowns ever produced (as far as I could find).

George III sovereigns used the St, George reverse with boarder. George IV used the St. George reverse without border until 1825 and in 1825 he switch to the shield reverse. The St. George reverse was then minted again in 1871. Both the St. George reverse and the shield reverse were produced in London until 1874 and in Australia until 1887.
The original Sovereign was first minted in 1489.
Got the Big Mercury today, but first the mailer stamps were too cool. My avatar is Red Cloud and the mailer had 2 Red Cloud stamps on it. I got a toothpick and saved them, might get 'em graded...
Also shown is a great book on Red Cloud. The story of Pretty Owl and Pine Leaf was worth the read.

Nothing new has been offered since the beginning of the month (and those items were not really new - just new releases of previous items).
But some new things will be up fairly soon (by the end of the year).
Sorry comrades, it was new to me.
But hey, at least I was able to flush out some news from DC.
