    @dcarr

I was curious about how you make your circulated versions, are they just run thru a sorter multiple times or a tumbler of some kind?

They look really good and even.

I have a couple different methods. One does involve a "tumbler". The details are a trade secret, however ;)

Dan car WHILE MOST PEOPLE on this forum agree with everything you say and there is a word for that a lot of people included myself are very disappointed with your new 1964 peace dollar destroying the price of original so my question is which coin will you destroy next ? for your monetary gain ?I think you should stop making your new die now !

His original 1964s were the 4 rays variety, the new ones are the 3 rays variety. He hasn't destroyed anything, just added a new variety.

    Cool Design !

I thought we are in the hole at 27 Trillion

Maybe issue these monthly with updated national debt ?

Its seems our USA debt was 23.3 Trillion plus interest in beginning of February 2020.
A lot has happened since then.

I was thinking along those same lines, but I don't know if Dan could keep up with the modifications in the die & design fast enough at this point.

The National debt is 23.9 trillion today, principal only. The interest going forward might be around 1-2% if things keep going downhill and they refinance at current Fed rates and create a 50-year treasury bond to spread out the payments into the future helping to "reduce the deficit". The 2 trillion, plus extra, from the recent virus borrowing would lead me to believe $30 trillion by the end of the year is a safe bet. However, $25 Trillion is close enough for government work...and the "To Infinity and Beyond" pretty much already covers for the increases in the future.

I already ordered 5 for gifts, and had to get the 2020 $100 silver Union once I saw it. :)

Does anyone know if Daniel changed his catalog numbers throughout the years? I'm trying to look up some of my coins and am finding a lot that the catalog numbers in my orders do not match anything on his website.

    Example: cg_60_2016_ms I think is now CG_SE_2016_MS.

    D Carr:
When do you anticipate production to begin and how many CV 19 medals will be produced? Is there a possible proof version in the future?

The "Item Number" shown on the store product page is often different than the "Catalog #" listed in the catalog. The Catalog numbers sometimes are changed after the fact if a new version is produced and some differentiation is needed. It doesn't always make sense, but that is how things "evolved".

This is an event unlike anything mankind has ever seen before and deserves to be memorialized to be remembered. I hope we are done with it soon but should it resurface next year I think it very appropiate to strike new tokens with the 2021 date.

Many people on here know me and I had at one time one of the largest DC collections at one time. I agree with 1940coupe and that is the exact reason I have been selling all of them off. Never lost more money in my life. Not a very wise investment. If your interested I have a pile of DC junk silver.

It seems there was a similar period of disgruntlement exhibited in this very thread in September 2017 (starting on page 39 and for a few pages after that): https://forums.collectors.com/discussion/970119/dan-carrs-latest/p39

The issue at that time related to my selling of certain items in person at the Summer ANA Denver show (some of those items were imaged in this thread by the buyer). For the record, that buyer paid fair market prices for them. But that person had also helped me out quite a bit at my rather large table space that I had at that show.

Anyway, @coupe1940 has not been excluded from obtaining unusual items, such as the double over-struck "1816" bust (see avatar), a recent double-over-struck "1964-D" Peace Die Pair 9, and maybe some others that I don't recall right now.

I think @1940coupe has a great collection. He has an abundance of super-rare double struck pieces. I think he had like 3-4 of the double struck 1816 CBHs before I knew they even existed. I've always been impressed by his collection and focus. I wasn't aware he had any of the regular issue pieces mentioned above based on what he posted in the past, but at least the 1964 proof-like Peace dollars are rare and no more proof-likes have been struck. It's a shame that he's soured on Dan's pieces.

You didn't buy them all on eBay. You got at least one, maybe more, as a "special offer". Note that most of the multi-over-struck pieces that I sold were initially priced not far off what they would probably net on eBay. So it wasn't so much a special price offer. The special offer was a chance to just get one in the first place.
