A modest little coin I found digging around a box at a coin show a decade or so ago. Always liked it even though it's certainly not my 'usual'. Just ran across it and took a few pictures finally. Maybe a $5 coin I suppose

It was "greater" before Photo-suckit screwed so many of us over and we can't see many of the pictures now.
You are right of course. In the US Forum everytime I see one of my old photobucket images "boxed" I've replaced in with a new image from my files. Sucks

You should see soon what may be the greatest Canadian token collection ever put together, being assembled at Heritage. I know the guy who is cataloging it.
This is a not-so-newp. A pick up from Atlas a few weeks ago. My imaging has been delinquent and after the lovely posts of yesterday I got off my tush and got some shots of this one. I'll pretend it's still Tuesday for the sake of argument...and posting:
Tenpo era (1837~1854 minting of these) silver Bu. 8.66 grams/.991 silver. PCGS calls it an AU-58. I like that it's not either blast or dingy white like so many are...and just a bit of less common variety/era.
I've always loved the 'samurai' silver pieces like these, @Stork. It's fun to find the inverted sakura on each side and find out if it's a rarer combination.

It has a been a long while since I have posted. My mother passed away unexpectedly in mid-September at the age of 61, so I have been away from the hobby for about 2 months now.
I did pick up this lovely little token last week in an (overlooked) eBay auction -- for a song! It is graded MS62 by PCGS, and I have desaturated their pictures to make them look more like the token in hand. A bit more information about the token can be found at this link.

After a rather large budgetary indiscretion I'm supposed to be on a strict coin diet. But....well someone saw my set ATS and out of the blue offered this coin to me. Of course I bought it! One more for the flock, and a sweet little upgrade to my previous best (a slightly overdipped white one). Fresh from the British Royal Post:

You guys your coins seem to be missing chopmarks...here let me show you what I mean.
Always enjoy this thread, keep them coming (and yes I'll forgive even if they don't have chopmarks)
I think this was the image I posted in this thread a year ago. It just says "image" now

Nice piece, Brian!
I’m in love with the reverse of this one. Keep navigating back to it.
From John (CRO). Perhaps one of the finest, most eye-appealing cap and ray 4R in existence? Love that 'pull-away' toning!
Heritage. PCGS MS64+. Outstanding surfaces w/ stunning color.
A coin I purchased from Northeast Numismatics a couple years back, this is an NGC MS64. Hopefully it is OK to showcase their images here.
Great stuff everybody!

This thread did make my day go faster. Thanks!
James I shilling, raw. Weak strike in the middle, but nice peripheral color (which doesn't come out too much in these auction photos).
And a medieval Anglo-Gallic coin, NGC 50, from the reign of Henry VI. Sorry for the big pics.

rmyarmch, nice piece! Are you aware of a very large Canadian token collection coming to auction soon?
I haven't seen notice of anything significant yet but there are still a few holes I'd like to fill!

Just got this back from grading... some of the older copper from Central American countries is hard to find nice.
