Opened my one pack of sp from the second box and the jeter is still out there. Got a bonds. Also got a gwynn with not tony gwynn on the front. Apparently there is no premium for this error and it also doesn't have tony Gwynn on the front so bad news times 2.
brendanb438, the seals on your two packs look pretty loose... I would go ahead and open them now if I were you. That goes for the rest of you guys, your seals appear to be VERY loose... get to ripping!
Got my mail from BBCE today, opened two of the 81T FB wax and got nothing worth scanning (Dan Fouts Super Action was best of the bunch). Hoping for better luck on the 82T BB wax and cello. Showing:
82T BB Wax #1: Ron Guidry (AS?) on back 82T BB Wax #2: Terry Kennedy on back 82T BB Cello: Amos Otis IA on front, Milt Wilcox on back
Any of the sequencers know if those lead to anything good?
Thank goodness there are good people on this board!
Guys, be sure to check the packages as they arrive and match the invoice to your order. Keep in mind that BBCE shipped out 70-ish packages to us over the past week and it's really easy to swap shipping labels by accident. I received a message from another board member last night that believed he received my order by mistake. He did indeed receive my order and I have a package from BBCE set to arrive tomorrow, which I am hoping is his order. Hopefully we're the only 2 packages that got mixed up!

Ripped wax #2 first, no major hits, but wax #1 hit a sharp OC Ripken! I'll post scans after the cello.

Nice hit on the Ripken! Curious, did you 81T FB wax have 12 or 15 cards?

I checked all the pictures and everyones seals will hold for at least another 50 years. Jeff is a quack and should not be listened to. Keep those babies sealed...

My '89 UD box came today. It really looks fresh. Tomorrow is my birthday and I plan to sit down with some Forty Creek on the rocks and do some serious ripping. Just hope I don't mess up any Griffey rookies -
I believe Steve cannot wrap packs due to his contractual obligations with PSA.
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
Received my packs today. Small order this go-around, only (2) 1978 FB packs. Packs were nice, sharp corners and pretty well centered. Pulled (3) cards that I will sub for grading and a couple pieces of 37 year old gum. I'll throw the gum in the candy bin at work and see if anyone goes for it. Here are the pics of my rip:
Lots of star power in my packs, but none of the big cards. Here are most of the stars and HOFers, plus a couple others I liked or found interesting:
Absolutely love that Fisk!! Here are the '82 stickers, Ted Simmons, Trammel and Buckner:
And my '83 packs up next. Would've been great to pull a minty Gwynn RC to go with my PSA 9 Donruss RC of his, but oh well.
The Palmer has a tear in the side. That's McGee's RC, if you didn't know. I've always loved the Super Vet cards and enjoyed Topps' reintroduction of them in the 2014 set.
The problem is you have Mike terrorizing this thread telling people not to rip!! Its great seeing him back posting, but I think he needs to start putting his talents in other threads besides this one
I did my 89 UD box. Probably the worst box I've done of this stuff. 1 Randy Johnson, 1 Biggio.. No other big rookies. Centering was all over the place in the box, very few dead centered.
<< <i>My packs, going to open one of each type but haven't decided which yet.

I'm here to counteract the real terrorists ripping into defenseless packs that have been able to avoid being butchered over the decades only to have the mob yelling "RIP" from the tops of their lungs.

Collation on these boxes is infamously feast or famine often times. But I'm surprised centering was so miserable and all over the board on your box though.

Got my 3 mini packs today~packs from box 1 (left and middle) were very clean and in mint condition~one pack also had Lou Brock '74 Highlights card showing face out on back, which was pretty cool (will probably sub that one to PSA). The box from box 2 (right) also had no rips or tears but must have been from bottom of the box as it was fairly scuffed up. That is likely the pack I will wind up opening.

Here's my rip. The corners were or the most part bent a little on most cards. I don't think I will submit any of these, but it was a blast to open this box!! (and for the guy who wanted to know about the Dale Murphy Reverse Negative card, no dice...I did include a scan of the two I got so you can see though)
