A date that's eluded me in the Barber Quarter series is the 1907 D. It shouldn't be that tough to find in nice XF to AU condition raw, but it is. I finally broke down and purchased a '07 D in a PC XF 45 holder:
Ok, the obverse has a few hits (maybe more than a few), but it's a decent coin in my set until the right one comes along.
We had a show and sell meeting yesterday with Doug, Vern, Milo, and myself present. There were some amazing coins presented. Watch for some photos from Vern.
Jeff, The 07-D quarter was the last one that I needed to complete my first set. When you need one, it's a tough coin. Once you get one, they seem to come in droves.

Feigenbaum text states: "A better date. Scarce in EF or higher." I kick myself now for not purchasing a '06-D and '07-D pair in high AU with luster in March 2015. I took only the '06-D and that one came back from our hosts MS63. Hindsight is 20/20. The '07-D had good luster and a minor reverse 7 o'clock rougher area near the rim in the lettering. I graded the '07-D AU55 but it might have gone 58 seeing how well the '06-D performed.
A Barber Quartet is made up of Nickels, Dimes, Quarters, and Halves.
Mike, I hope the "thinking" doesn't go beyond that!
Jeff, Like the color on that '14-P dime.
I just picked another nice '97-O but this one is in the buff and not slabbed like my StacksBowers specimen. Pics are horrible so I am waiting to get it in hand before evaluating further and taking better pics to blog about.
Vern, I hope you are well. I am always excited about what you will bring out next for us to visually enjoy!

Mike- perhaps attach it to a puppy paw for the day?
Lol, from AU64+ to PR01 in thirty seconds, flat !
I sent in 18 Barbers for regrade.... Only two came back with a Plus.
Two Dimes went from 65 to 65+. My friend spent the lion's share
of $1000 to get those two Plusses. One of these days, I'll show the
True Views off. I'm battling chest congestion and a fever - but drinking
lots of fluids and getting as much sleep as I can. ( The main reason I
have not been heard from this past month. )
I copied the 1914-S Quarter in MS - for your viewing pleasure:

About 3 years ago I made a leather bound album (11" X 17" book) of my Everyman Half Dollars. Since then most of my coins have upgraded and my photo skills have improved. I'm in the process of reshooting the coins and hoping to prepare another book in this format:
It's really amazing how much more you see in a hard photo than on the screen.
The 14-S is in a PCGS 66 holder and belongs to my friend SROTAG - whose collection
I have worked on for a few years .... I do his submissions and we decide when to send
in for regrade / reconsideration - or - send to CAC.
Just sent another large batch in for Regrade and another couple of dozen for CAC.
I also have a group of images to post from the last regrade submission. Some nice stuff
is going to be displayed very soon, after the Blue Moon Pt. 2 Auction at Stacks-Bowers.
We've targeted a small, but very impressive, group of Barbers. One of which completes
his set of Quarters in Mint State. "Three guesses which one that is...." Lol

I got the 1900-O Barber dime in the mail today. I took my own pictures - it turned out to be nicer than I thought. If I was to estimate the grade for this raw pick-up, I would say VF35.

Tim- My eyesight isn't very good but the mintmark on your 1900 O Dime looks a lot like an "S" to me.
Time just seems to be flying on me. Had a great time with Doug, Jim & Milo last Sunday. Definitely the best coin show in the midwest. Still working on the pics from it.
A surprise from it was this newp of Jim's, PC50:
Vern l It's not having what you want, it's wanting what you've got.
That's a beautiful '97 O Half; an impossible coin to find. Did you purchase it at a show or was it a raw roll find? The odds of finding it are about the same for both.
97-O was from a major dealer. Pulled the trigger FAST Price was very fair in my opinion
Vern, Sunday was a great show. See you soon my friend
Off to Michigan to catch some salmon (I hope!)
I received notice that my 1892 Quarter is enroute from our host...it's just an AU58, but I am itching to post the TrueView image once it is made available.

Vern, do you have a PC '01 S Quarter that I can borrow for a while?
Bid on one coin at Stacks - Baltimore - for my MS Dime Set.
This date, AFAIC, is far far scarcer than most realize: 1915-S { RPD }
PCGS MS 64 + CAC......
I'm loosing it, I typed the above two days ago.....
Well, good news... I won the coin at my Max bid ....plus juice.
