I heard the Mint has released the pricing grid for the Gold Kennedy Proof but don't see it on their website. Can anybody help out with a link? Thank you.
<< <i>there is ZERO chance some sort of line will NOT form prior to 11:00am >>
Again, just reiterating what the USM has stated.....
<< <i>Each day, sales will open at 11:00 AM CT when people will be allowed to line up and the Mint will distribute tickets >>
Unless the USM starts a line earlier, they are pretty clear on the procedure. I wont recognize any line until 11AM CT as stated...and I don't think anyone else will either.
So all those guys with tents and sleeping bags, better just put them away and show up at the table at 10:59am ready to jump on line.
<< <i>40,000 gold Kennedy coins is too many to hold value, flippers have a chance but they killed this coin off already. >>
Most aren't thinking of this gold issue as the "Kennedy Type Coin". That is what it is. Forget about the silvers later this year. This IS the TYPE coin of the Kennedy Series.
40,000 doesn't concern me much. With limits in place and subdued by the fear of unlimited mintage.....that initial run might be enough.
This has the makings of being like the WHO concert in Cincinnati. Good grief!

Dealers will be first in line to mop up the demand .. once demand subsides .like the gold HOFs , then gold kennedys will quickly flow Don't think shipping will drawn out for 4 months like the HOFs .. the 4pc kennedy set also needs to start shipping in October ..
Looks like the Mint set to only sell 2,500 at the ANA Show .. no matter what ...to give the kennedy ANA label, an aura of scarcity... so the 1 limit sure to kick in Aug 6th.. final sales will top 75,000 at the end
The email Coin World Weekly Update received this morning featured article: Link About limits for the Kennedy halves and line up clarification, number of cash registers at the show, the 4 coin set and more. "Mint officials are hoping that the new OMS will lead to the elimination of the “waiting room” feature under the current decade-old system, Landry said. That would allow more customers to be processed without technical problems."
"To avoid problems with collectors and dealers lining up hours before the scheduled 11 a.m. Central Time sales launch Aug. 5, an announcement will be made 15 to 30 minutes before on the convention bourse directing those interested where to begin lining up, Landry said."
I am thinking to go to Philly to secure a couple on the first day. Does anyone have previous experiences in buying at the US Mint gift shop for this type of releases (statehood quarters, 2009 Lincoln, etc...)? Wonder if they will sell the Kennedy's at 11am or at the opening.

Got a postcard today from the Mint promoting the release of the Kennedy coins. Usually, I get the ads after the coins have already been sold out. It appears the Mint is ahead of the curve on this one.

raise your hand if you think dealers will tipped beforehand as to when and where to line up
I don't think so. They will be watched very closely by attendees for any hint of the line info. If they, the mint guys, were caught dropping an early hint there would be a sh*t storm. If there is the slightest appearance of anyone being in position before the announcement there could be a riot. (Well not an all out riot but some real excited and emotional outbreaks) Jobs would be on the line so as twisted as I believe the mint guys are they won't risk it.
<< <i>75000 is a long shot I think this issue will top out at no more than the 2013 rev proof buffalo mintage level Of sub 50000 >>
I hope you are right but would be surprised if it comes in under 70,000. As always the price of gold will be a factor. With gold at $1249 these will be $1202 and sell very well. With gold at $1351 they go to $1315 and are not nearly as attractive.
The kicker of only 2500 available in Rosemont will make the ANA Label a dream come true for flippers to slab/label collectors and many buyers are just that.

Sounds about right...I can see the news headlines now:
Elderly and Temp workers involved in vicious brawl at coin show. Local sheriff's are investigating what brought on the violent confrontation which injured several coin show patrons. Charlie Jones, age 84, stated that one moment he was sleeping in his bed at the Bedford Village Retirement Community, A local nursing home, and the next thing he knew he and all the residents were all on a school bus headed to the show. Jones said when he reached into the pockets of his bathrobe, he found a $50 Bill and in the other an envelope with $2,500 cash marked Kennedy (2) in the other.
Also interviewed was Marla Smith, an employee of a local temp agency known as Man PO. She stated that someone hired 40 people from her agency to come stand in a line and wait for vouchers from a guy named Kennedy, but she said when they got there, they couldn't find Kennedy or the line. Smith said each employee was to be paid $55 dollars and would get a coupon to the Fruit Palace if they could bring back the vouchers.
Jones claimed the melee started when a worker from Man Po jostled with an older man that had a walker. Apparently, both groups collided upon arrival as there was no indication of where the line was supposed to be. Smith claims initially it was just an argument when the one worker from man Po tripped over the older man's walker, but then a loud voice yelled" Lobby...Lobby " and everyone started running...

There are Early Bird tickets for $150 each available for sale for ANA members if i am not mistaken. This will allow you to get in 1 1/2 hour early on the venue than the rest of the folks both regular and other ANA members who did not purchase this $150 ticket at all. Then i also read in that only 500 coins will be available Each day during this week long event with a limit of 2 coins per buyer/person and subject to change or whatever the case maybe . So there you go folks. Whoever wants to go to Chicago ANA needs to get all the advantage that they can. The line might not form until a given time but half the battle is getting yourself inside the venue earlier than the rest and be part of that line before the allocation for the day gets gobbled up...Just passing the info.

did not see 70's or show coins mentioned in your post so I was talking about raw coins.
There will be a nice premium on the show coins. Maybe not so much on the 70's as there will be plenty available and quickly.
That being said there are always a few who are easily parted from their money.
Remember the first ones who paid $ 10,000 for a 2010 PCGS 69DMPL 5oz ATB Bullion set.
around $4,000....that's my guess.
