Nice additions Matt! Keep 'em coming. BTW ... how the hell you been?

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
<< <i>Warren was such an underrated player, and Williams turned to selling drugs. Nice finds Matt, both of those have edges that look like they chip easily. >>
Yep, I agree about Warren. He was very solid. I'm happy with the grades and the best part was the cards only cost like $3.00 each lol.
<< <i>Nice additions Matt! Keep 'em coming. BTW ... how the hell you been? >>
Thanks Doug! Been busy working. It's monsoon season down here. Been raining so much and multiple times per day. It's hard to get things done but I'm getting it.
The newest addition to the set, Marion Barber Score Glossy SB XLIII /250. This completes Marion Barber's tenure with the team (2005-2010) so I'm happy to add it. It only cost me $6.99 delivered so I couldn't go wrong.
I'm also happy to report that Marion Barber never went to jail lol
Today's addition to the set, 1985 Topps Tony Dorsett. Also picked up a nice 1994 Stadium Club member's only Emmitt from Lee. Nice card to add to my Emmitt collection.
Thanks fellas. It's been slow progress lately but I'm beginning to pick up steam. Football season is giving me the itch to get back into buying again. Unless it's this rash that just won't go away? I'm not sure
Picked up another Stadium Club Members Only card. The seller listed it for $4.99 so I just had to hit it. Not needed for the project but fits nicely into my Emmitt set.
I'm excited about this one. Herschel Walker didn't have a mainstream, 1986 NFL card (his first year with Dallas) due to playing for the New Jersey Generals of the USFL from 83-85. I was watching this one for awhile and when it went on sale, I could not resist
Matt, that's a really cool looking card. Like Troy, I love the McDonald's cards (although I don't love storing all those oversized slabs).
You know what I'm gonna say next: you now need to get this card in 3 more colors: blue, black and orange!! I find it curious that the pop report says 19 green Walkers have been graded, but none of the other colors. As far as I know, all players were issued in 4 colors, including Hannah, Tippett, and any HOFers or stars I've ever searched for. Dorsett has been graded in all 4 colors, and Timmy Newsome in 3. But those pop numbers are odd. I wonder if Walker was a rare exception, only issued in one color? Maybe somebody can chime in.

I just checked Beckett. It does list Walker as having the other three colors but I personally have never seen any of them. I also find it curious that Beckett has a pic of the green in their database but no pics of the other three colors. I'm sure that's due to rarity. Just not sure what makes them rare.
Nice pick up Matt. (Last night's game SUCKED!!!!!! How many times are the Jints going to allow him to go down field at the end of a game as if there were no defensive players on the field?)

Thanks Doug! Romo did make it look too easy on that last drive. It pretty much looked like a 2 minute drill during practice lol.
Thanks Mike! I agree. It was a tough seeing Romo get knocked out but I think the D is going to be special this year. I'm hoping the D will carry them till Romo and Dez return

<< <i>I love when this thread updates. You need to tell Tonya to give you more play money!
Tell me more about Bielski. Card calls him an end, but he qualifies for your backfield project. Kinda cool.
I dig old Philly cards! >>
Thanks for the comments guys.
Dan, Bielski was a versatile player just like Cappelletti. During his career he played fullback, tight end and placekicker. He was mostly used a tight end with the Cowboys but also played the fb position.

Today's mail. A nice 1978 Topps Robert Newhouse. This guy was known for his gigantic thighs measuring in at 44"! Aka, The House and The Human Bowling Ball lol

Walker was a late addition to the promotion and was only ever produced with the green color tab that isn't a scratch off.

Oh ok, I had noticed that the tab also looked different than most I've seen. Thanks for the info!
Matt, it looks like your Walker a"rainbow" is complete after all.

Wonder if it's harder to get a concussion with a "fro" like that under the helmet?
