<< <i>Awesome stuff Matt, thanks for sharing. You had done the bulk of your emmitt collecting before I came along and we became friends, so I'd never seen any of that collection. I really enjoyed it and my fav is the funnel vision. Also known as tunnel vision. Stupid autocorrect. >>
Thanks Dan. I'll scan my entire collection of Emmitt cards one day. You will see them eventually. Thanks for the kind words. It's been great getting to know you!
<< <i>This is a fun project ... Why are all those defenders always laying down when Emmitt gets to the hole?? >>
Lol!
Next up, the 1996 Cowboybilia card. One of the most desired auto's by Cowboys collectors back in the day. Next is the 1997 Finest refractor. I just like the design of this card. The 98 Prodigies Auto is another nice 90's auto. It has a few variations using different ink color. Lastly is the 99 Paramount Silver Holofoil. Just a nice simple, good looking card.
<< <i>I'll scan my entire collection of Emmitt cards one day. You will see them eventually. Thanks for the kind words. It's been great getting to know you! >>
I just don't have the ambition to scan my whole Tippett collection. Plus most of it is raw, so not as impressive. Maybe one day I'll finish scanning all my important Yaz cards, but that will be quite a project. And first I need a working scanner lol. Hey, how many emmitt autos do you have?

Get a scanner! lol
I'll have to count them one day. I have many raw. If I had to guess maybe 100+.
I have a scanner and I think it's a good one. The problem is that we later bought a Mac and it's not compatible. We looked for drivers once and there weren't any.
First up is one of my 2000 Playoff Hawaii Trade Show Autos. These are rare and when they come up, they go for good money. Next is the 2001 Passing The Torch Auto. The Fleer Throwbacks Auto used to be a BGS 9.5 that I cracked out. It took some balls because it cost me $350 in BGS form but the gamble was worth it. The Leaf Certified is one of Emmitt's last cards in a Cowboys uni during his playing days.
Matt ... just went thru the past two weeks ... some real nice stuff there! Keep it up!
STAY HEALTHY!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
Great stuff. Great project. I just started the Cowboys HOF RC registry a few weeks back and am also putting together my own Ring of Honor collection, with the inclusion of some additional favorites like Too Tall, Charlie Waters, and Moose to name a few.
Good luck with the project. As a Cowboy fan, I like this thread.

Hey thanks for the kind words.
Good luck with your registry! For the ring of honor collection, are you doing rc's or just whatever card you like of that player?

Cool stuff. Good luck! I sometimes wish my favorite football team (Patriots) had more of a history of success, like the Cowboys and Steelers for instance. Pretty cool that you guys can do projects like this. I'm left with a few stars to collect. After I finish wrapping up my Tippett (1 card left) and Cappelletti (see my BST thread) player collections I'll need a new project. Either Brady next, or knock out John Hannah, then Brady.

Thanks. I already have Meredith, Lilly, Hayes and Staubach RCs, so I think in gonna go the RC route, for starters, at least with players. Not sure in Landry. I've got a raw 54B, but he's on the Giants. So maybe 89S?
Best of luck. Jim

They make custom cards of Cowboy's players that never had cards made with the team. I plan on getting some and having them auto'd and slabbed. I think that will be a cool way to add them to the project.
Thanks Dan. I have a 1961 Topps raw copy of Don Mcilhenny, his backfield mate, that's going to fit nicely once graded. Just waiting to see what next months specials will be.
Nice looking additions Matt. That website with the "custom cards" ... have you contacted them to see if they are still in business? They show the 2012 Schedule for the Cowboys on their site.

Uh oh. I didn't notice that. I'll try to contact them and see what happens. Thanks for pointing that out.
I have a ton of new cards to post from a recent submission. Troy and I opened the boxes over beer and pizza while he was visiting from Wisconsin. Good times! I'm guessing PSA wants me to play the the crack and resub game on a bunch of these. Regardless, I'm happy to add them to my set.
Matt - glad to see this updated. I'd been missing it.
I just subbed a 62 Perkins for my RoH Registry, logged today. I was hoping for a 5, but yours looks sooo much nicer. Tough card/year. Am I missing something or is that one of the review/crack-resub?
All great stuff.

Nice to see you Jim! The Perkins card actually has an impression line that extends the entire length of the card. The way I have the scan oriented, the line runs along the bottom border from the left corner to the right. I'll live with it because it's a great card.

It was fun busting the PSA boxes over some pizza and brew. Matt forgot to mention that we went Trick or Treating with the kids prior to pizza. Always a fun time visiting Matt when we are on vacation.
There were a couple of head scratchers for sure. But the best part was the look on Matt's face when my wife was critiquing the cards with darn good accuracy. Hope you can make it up to Wisconsin some time.
