  • McAdams wanted me to pass along that the 83 OPC Gwynn was received from Lodibrew. Great looking card and I wanted others to know that he threw in some rare freebie Bobby Cox inserts as well. Nice gesture! Also- For anyone else on this thread- If you have pending transaction with McAdams, he was banned last weekend for some comments he made. He is a relative of mine, and I can get in contact with him if you need anything regarding pending deals. He can also be reached at the McAdams account at Net54 or at Blowoutcards. Thanks.

  • About to change this lot out, no one seems interested in this one.

Super glad to see Mcadams back, just in time for me to give him a 'atta boy!'. Just received my package and it included two extra graded 91 DS Braves cards and one raw, some rare DMurphy cards and a1984 Topps Mattingly rookie that's 50/50 with 4 sharp corners. Thank you!

ttt...this post was getting buried...I think we have hit a wall, the last time someone said "I will take it" was back on January 12th.

<< <i>I am hoping that this lot will hit the seven day mark. If so, I'm going to be all over this one! >>

I'd have no problem with LodiBrewFan taking this offer now. It's been 4 days, seems silly to have to wait 7 before moving this thread along. Anyone else feel the same way? >>

Special concessions were made to keep the thread moving previously, a mediocre offering after the fact, and even after posting receipt of the previous lot with extras with promise to change it up...nothing.

It was stated that after a period of time if the offer isn't taken, you forfeit your grab. This should remain hard and fast so that desirable items remain in the mix.

I agree, I think scans are a must. I don't know if it would help, but it sure couldn't hurt.

    EDIT to add:

Out of curiosity I went to ebay to see what these cards have sold for. Most have not sold recently:

    #560 Henderson Sold for: $7.50

#399 Carter was $12.99/obo...someone made an offer for less than $12.99 because there was a line through the price so I can't be sure how much.

#460 Dawson has not sold, but there is one listed with a BIN for $6.99

And the VCP of the two cards taken is approximately $20.00.

OK, so Lodi isn't able to participate for whatever reason...no problem. How about we keep it going without him and if he is able to come back, he can put up something else. I offer that if he isn't seen by Sunday at 8pm Eastern, I will offer a new 1 card and we will just go on as usual. Let me know what you think!!! image

I bailed out LodiBrew before. Unfortunately, I am not in a position to bail him out this time. I will donate a card to the cause to get this thread going again. It won't be the same monetary bail out as before, but enough of us can donate one item, this thread can be jump started back to life. And hopefully members sense of generosity and 'fair-play' can prevent this thread from dying again.

Bobby ... remember, this is not the PIF thread. We are talking about a $10.00 - $20.00 card. Hallco and Bunker have already offered up a card, so that will probably be enough to get this thread back on its feet.

I'm not sure if that's him or not. But the Lodibrew that posts here (Joey) is an honest guy. I've traded with him on numerous occasions and he's always sent things in a timely manner. I imagine that something came up on his end and he just hasn't been online for a few days for whatever reason. I'm sure he'll be back at some point and when he does, he'll offer up a new lot.

OK everyone ... this thread is back up thanks to James (BIGHURT2000). I just spoke with Shawn (HALLCO) and he has accepted James' generous offer to get this thread going again. The below card is now the one being offered. Let's remember ... when you offer up a card PLEASE be sure that it is close in value to the one you took and please post a picture. This thread has been stalled for almost one month because these rules were not followed.

Here is the real nice card James has offered. LET'S GET THINGS ROLLING AGAIN. The FIRST "I TAKE IT" followed by a PM to BIGHURT2000 gets this card.

2-4-12 Update....since LODIBREWFAN was the last one to take and didn't offer another card that anyone desired.. he(or any alts that may be him) are NOT allowed to participate in the thread anymore. If anyone thinks differently, feel free to post or message me and we can talk about it. And just to clarify it before the stupid @$$ drama pot stiring starts...It's nothing personal with him!!!! I don't know him and haven't had any situations with him personally. I just think that it's better for everyone that wants to be involved with the thread to have folks willing and able to offer things people want. We're not talking about high dollar cards here people! And if you look back, there have been lots of variety offered and taken. Someone take this Aaron and Mays and let's keep it goin'! image
