BKING ... this is getting a little confusing. Isn't it Mattingly's turn to list what he is going to Pay Forward? Only ONE listing at a time please.

It got convoluted yesterday. Bking did it right but the '86 wax boxes were posted "for free" without the poster having taken any cards. Then the guy who took those posted cards, so now we have two going. People are so nice that they're messing the thread up! haha A "good problem" to have, I guess.

Bking - In the interest of keeping it straight, you could pull your offer down and just add those cards in next time you take some cards and have a larger lot to pay forward. That sound ok? Thanks!

Mattingly - I'd say go ahead and post yours, hopefully bking will be okay with taking his down.

Nope, and I agree it IS getting more than a little confusing; I said "I'll take it" way back on page 6, before someone posted another lot (the 86 topps boxes IIRC) without having accepted anything, then yet ANOTHER lot (or two) got posted, which is how we got here yet again.

TBH, I'm kinda sorry I stepped in and accepted the "one true lot" that was dangling out there, as this has quickly turned into a major CF due to multiple offers and posts overlapping. The OP tried to reset things and restate the concept and rules a few pages back, but here we are AGAIN with the concept of a simple, single chain of offers seemingly being too difficult to stick to.

If anyone wants my lot, great. If the poster I said "I'll take it " to wants to send my stuff, great. My interest in this cool thread idea is pretty much at zero right now.

BKing ... seems like you took my comment the wrong way ... was just trying to get this back on track. If it was the other poster who added cards out of order, my apologies.

Just venting about the turn this thing has taken in general. One week back from a self-imposed forum vacation, and I'm already mumbling "here we go again" about several threads I'm seeing/posting in.

Sorry for the confusion guys. I did not see a post from Bking after the 1986 box issue for some time and I thought it was my duty to make sure the offers still moved forward.
  • EDIT: See my next post.

  • Bump to keep it rolling. image
  • Ok, no one wanted the last lot I put up, so I'm putting up some new stuff. Hopefully this one will tickle someones fancy.

Graded cards..... Jeter '93 Topps RC PSA 8..... Clemens/Bernie 2001 SP Dual Jersey card 21/50 Beckett 8.5....... Mattingly '85 Topps PSA 9.

Raw cards...... '01 Fleer Showcase Jeter Monumental Moments #5 1509/2000...... 1996 Topps Chrome Masters of the Game Boggs....... '70 Topps Munson RC (total beater with bad corners, and is OC).....and 2012 Topps Montero RC.

I'm going to try and think outside the box a little bit here. Below is 100% REAL piece of "OLD" Yankee Stadium. This was aquired just before the last ever game on 9/21/08.
My best friend, and season ticket partner ripped a big section of paint off the wall after we noticed a bunch of people doing the same thing. We split it up between the two of us, and we each got a large section about the size of a dollar bill, and about 10 to 15 smaller sections similar in size to the one I am offering as part of this lot. I have given many of the smaller ones away to close friends and famiy, and only have a few left. I plan on having my large section of paint signed by Mattingly and inscribed "NY Yankees 1982-1995"

I have no way to prove this is real other than my story, so if you are worried about the paint being legit then please don't "take it".

This first pic is the paint you will get. The pic below that is a picture of where the paint came from in The Stadium. It's from the walk up ramp near gate 4 which led from the field level sections, all the way up to the tier sections.

Surprised these are still here! The Sayers is a $34 card and then two HOFer* rookie cards? Nice!

    * - I am aware Smoltz is not yet a HOFer but no doubt will be.

Even though I asked for nothing in return, I would like to make one tiny exemption.

I call dibs if anyone offers an autographed Lance Armstrong jersey and it's authenticated by PSA. Usually retails for around $750, so I probably have a better chance of being struck by lightning... twice... but just in case.

    Carry on.

LOAs on the autos are from Howard's Sports Collectibles. If they don't look legit to everyone, I'll pull them and put something else up.

EDIT: Apologize for the over-bright scans; still need to adjust things on this PC....
