This coin arrived today. It looked promising as a raw coin on eBay. It has some nice color when in direct light. Red and orange-gold lighting up the obverse, with blues and greens on the reverse. It is what I thought it would be, and I will send it as part of the next batch to PCGS.
The more I look at it, the more I realize the coin and its color is nice! Perhaps even @Catbert-worthy. It is THAT pretty! But I don't trust my judgment here (retoning?) and wish I had one of you guys here to hand it to and give me a second opinion on it. Anyway, I'm going to have the coin graded. If it straight grades, even at XF45, it will be a "color bargain."
With this addition only the 1882 remains to finish out the basic Philadelphia seated halves. A bit crusty, a bit fugly and exactly what I was looking for.
Have you seen my new Trade dollar? This is a GFRC photo, so I'm not sure exactly what it's going to look like. I trust @GotTheBug's eye, GerryF, and CAC on this one.

Congrats! That looks like it’s going to be a great coin. Unfortunately GFRC has some of the worst photos in the industry so you never know what you’re getting.
This is a details coin I won for $17, a mangled holed 1872 half dime, I bought it because it was not labeled as DDO FS101 and I am a variety enthusiast.

I've gone down that rabbit hole before. This was $28.

Put my first coin from the 50's into the album today. I do love those big giant S's.
ps. @lkenefic , outstanding half dime.
Do you think this double dime should be graded higher than VF20 by our hosts?
1875-CC Double Dime PCGS VF20?

I can make out 3 letters in LIBERTY, healthy shield lines, and a lot more than usual bird feather detail on the reverse.
A Barber Quartet is made up of Nickels, Dimes, Quarters, and Halves.
I found this dime with my metal detector.
My latest purchase. I'm hoping that PCGS downgrades it to XF45.
My Carson City Morgan Registry Set
Honestly, with it missing so many letters on the shield obverse, I think it’s a F12-15…
No
WB-13, AU53 and this completes my 10-coin set of Carson City halves!

@LJenkins11 That is a nice finish to your set!
