I just saw that....pretty sure these are not yet encapsulated. >>
I don't think they're encapsulated yet either. It will be interesting to see the hightest order number. Looks like we may find out just how many they are actually releasing to the public.

IF, and I say IF, these are "PCGS rejects", then, what are they going to do with the higher graded ones they would get, and still stay within the USMint's guidelines and requirements? Is it at all possible that they are just saying that as a "under promise but potentially over deliver"? If someone thought they were getting a "BU" but got "MS67" would they be upset?

IF they are PCGS rejects, the issue I would have would be what they did with the non-rejects.
Are they only going to sell the public the BU ones and keep the high grades for higher priced sales to someone else behind the scenes??
How does it matter? Even if they are, I'm sure you can resell them for a smaller profit. >>
I completely agree with you...I don't see much downside for those who plan to flip these, imo. >>
But what does the market hold in 6-8 weeks, that is a long time to wait. With all these delays though it could keep prices up longer. >>
True, but something tells me that a flipper would always be able to walk away from these for no less than $1000. Even if they dropped back to bullion levels (around $750ish right now), $974 for the set (in PCGS plastic) is a good deal.
Maybe they just sent all of them in for BU slabs so they wouldn't have to worry about packaging and that was the delay. >>
That'd be great, but I'm more pessimistic. I think they'll sell the real grades to their established dealers and customers, even if it has to be at the same price.
I think its much cheaper for them to be slabbed by PCGS as BU, then grading each one. They probably put in a huge order, and asked them to be marked BU. Some might be 69's and 70's though.
All coins kept in bank vaults. PCGS Registries Box of 20 SeaEagleCoins: 11/14/54-4/5/12. Miss you Larry!

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

That is what I am thinking, PCGS and A-Mark are relatively close to each other, at least both in Southern California.

I wonder if I gave them an extra $100 if they would assign grades to mine
