we'll see how the case breaks go.

looks like there's 577k packs in hobby, since there's only 1 dual cut, and 1 triple cut, both of which are hobby exclusives. looks like 2 of the 3 triple relics are in hobby, with one reserved for retail.

the retail pack odds for the triple relic will tell us the number of retail packs. But I am thinking there will be ~1 million packs which is near where we were for 2009 -- which is good news for us collectors.

I'm working today, plus Joe only got the one extra box. He offered it to me, and don't think for a second I wasn't really tempted to take him up on it, but I'll wait for retail. I'm hoping Leo pulls something really nice out of the case I had ordered.

It appears that cards 1-500 are the only on the checklists, no insert sets. Here is 7-9, the Buehrle came out of a pack with 3 cards, Buehrle, sp and chrome.

The Chase variations are 1:435 the base chase cards appear to be about 1:3.

Of the three autos that I've seen pulled so far, Joe & Chris have both gotten an Upton blue.

Per an Ebay search, Peavy is suppose to be #56. Have you gotten a Peavy with that number. Often the checklist doesn't match up exactly by the time the cards come out. However I don't remember Mantle having a "base" card in previous sets.

Yes the base series, but not Topps Heritage. My initial guess is they are doing some sort of 'B' version SP set, like in the base set. Would be cool if it was guys that were actually in the 61 set, but I'm also tired of these Super Short Prints....

peavy is listed as 56 on the checklist also. i didnt get any of those dice cards in 2 boxes.. 2nd box 1 refractor 8 sp's 5 chrome.

#54 would have made more sense for the Mantle variation, unless there was some variation on the original 1961 #56 card.
