Everyone notice the spike in case prices? Last week Orange County sportscards was $715 per case as was Atlanta Sportscards. Today I checked, OC sportscards $850, Atlanta is up to $820.
Think this is linked to less availability from distributors? Not sure what drives price increases on pre-sells, but it seems obvious to me that these dealers have sold out of their original allotment. I didn't track 2009 that closely, but did this occur last year with Heritage also?
Joe Stalin will be missed. Most of us have had successful trades with him over the years. His leadership and insight has always been great, his perspectives fresh, and his trades fair.

I agree with everything said about Kevin with regard to heritage, and even though he was banned from CU I'm positive he will be in the trade mix this year because lets face it.......

<< <i>I think Yard Ball is Geordie's buddy Joe who is a user here, if that is the case I purchased from him last year and it went off without a hitch. >>
Yep, that's exactly who it is. Looks like Joe checked in right after, so that should make Matt & Leo breathe a little easier!
Too bad Joe's distributor won't sell an extra box at the case price. I was hoping to have a box of product tomorrow. Can't wait to see what others pull, though.
Hey folks, i'm hopeful for tomorrow. I'll be building the refractor set (not the regular chrome), so if you're not doing refractors, keep me in mind!
also, i could use some 2009 hi# refractors ( - all of them)
Looking forward to another great trading season, but those scans looks like faded photo city - just like last year. I say it every year unfortunately - 2005 was the high-water mark for photography. Every year has gotten progressively worse since.
I think the SP's are just the last 75 cards or so, not sure on any super SP's or variation cards that may be out there. I guess we will know by the end of the week! The stamps should be a cool set to see, although next to impossible to collect.

So if someone were able to nab a case of this for, say, $700, early on, would they be able to sell it during the release buildup period for a marginal profit ($800 or higher)?

Woohoo, we have our first live product....now hurry up with reports and scans! I just got my tracking info, 5 cases scheduled for delivery tomorrow, hopefully they show up in the morning otherwise it's going to be a long night.
I've been thru 2 boxes so far and I am unimpressed. The colors are washed out like the previous scans showed. One game used out of box one no gu or auto out of box 2. Refractors seem to be falling about 1 per box. Chromes appear to be about 6 per box. No black refractors yet. The coallation is lacking as well. I will get some scans up soon.
Stoney, one other thing - when you find the checklist card that identifies the autographs, can you throw a decent sized scan of that up too, please? Thanks!
I haven't found anything with the auto checklist (box or cards). I will keep looking. Here are some random scans of what things look like.
The Rollins is a refractor with a silver border, the chrome is a white border. The sp's have a bright white back as seen on the Ramirez. Sorry the cards aren't straight.
Good luck with tthe rips guys, no heritage of rme this year, I bought 2 2001 sets already and looking at a third I have tons for trade over onthe BSt forum and I am interested in any and all red Sox cards
1:357 only applies to the blue RO autographs. When you factor in your chances for other autographs (red ink, CC, etc.) I think the odds go to about 1-2 per 12 boxes.

I hope that is the case, although you would think Beckett would have the best scanner money could buy.

I will have product by tomorrow, so John and Leo your cases will go out as soon as I get them in hand.
I tried to up my initial order and the price had gone up to 65 a box wholesale (typical pre-release hype).
Anyway it should be a fun day tomorrow. We will at least have some live product to look at.
